I remember my Father saying that his Sister knew Brenda Fricker when his Sister was going to University ~ ~ I discussed this with my own Sister after my Father had died, and she reckoned the ages didn't work out, unless Brenda Fricker had been a bit older and they had become aquainted some other way ( anyway I digress )

Brenda Fricker did seem to go a bit Loopy in later years ( but sure that might happen to us all )

Anyway, RIP
 
I assume they will portray this as a big story to distract . Her best role was only because they needed an Irish actress . And she did well, but any actress can play an Irish mother
 
Yeah , I liked Keegan as a player ( Won European player of the year twice, a lot of people seem to have forgotten that )

Made a lot of money in his three years at Hamburg, that and injuries ( and getting older ) kinda seemed to take a fair bit of his ability from then on.

Decent Player with Irish family connections ~ ~ I don't think that he could really handle the pressure ( etc ) of top level management ~ ~ His public persona seemed ~ Decent Fella.
 
Gerry Kelly who used to present the Kelly Live show from Nordie land every Friday night has died aged 73.

Seemed like a decent aul skin.
 
Bill Oddie dead. Always remember him from the "goodies" Rip.

In a welcome return to Belfast and to performing live, Glen Hansard is back for one night in the glorious surroundings of The Grand Opera House, exactly two years since his sell-out performances at BIAF19.

What to expect on arrival:​

All ticketholders aged 18 and over, will need to provide one of the following:

  • Proof of full vaccination, with the second dose having been given at least 14 days earlier. Acceptable forms of proof include Covid immunisation record cards, COVIDCert NI certificates, and any official documentation from outside Northern Ireland such as the EU Digital Covid Certificate or the NHS Covid Pass.
  • Proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test taken no more than 24 hours in advance. This will be in the form of an official SMS message which you will receive after completing and registering your Lateral Flow Test result at https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result
  • Proof of natural immunity shown by a positive PCR test result for Covid issued between 30 and 180 days earlier. Any self-isolation period must have elapsed before coming to the Theatre.

on a motorbike. Those things are death traps at the best of times, regardless of vaccines

Sad to see. I always associated single vehicle crash as probable suicide? 4:30 in the morning, unless he was performing down the country? Rip regardless
