I reckon there is something in that baccy that's actually good for you. I often work with the multiply needlecrafted and get very heavy chest and sinus infections. Sea swimming helps, but for added bonus I smoke Cuban cigars. Not all the time ofc but when I'm down bad. The shedding cough goes immediately and my sinuses clear up. Fasting also helps the detox process from whatever they are throwing at us.
I cannot explain it, but my tinfoil hat starts buzzing when they are cracking down that hard on anything.
Pure tobacco is a healing plant - ofc in modern cigarettes they have added a million poison additives to make us sick that way.
Just my unscientific 2 cents. They are trying to ban everything that could help us and replace it with big pharma poison.
Hemp is another such miracle plant, suppressed and criminalised when God gave it us to heal ourselves.

This is why I'm OK with having "Smoke Free" zones.
Like you I really appreciate cigars & tobacco theory and certainly what you imply above. However we must consider It's a relief for many people in the public space not to be subjected to those same sickening additives & pollution.

P.S. At the same time, there should be Pubs & other public venues where smoking is the norm and very much allowed & encouraged for those who are certain to want it!!
