Back in secondary school, we were in streamed classes—eight in total. I was in the top, and one day when our Art teacher was out, we had to join the bottom stream class for a joint class.

God help them—some were rocking back and forth, a few had misshapen heads like they'd been sculpted in the dark. It felt like stepping into One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.

Honestly, the fact that this even has to be explained is ridiculous — but here we are.

As I've already said several times - the point of naming individuals wasn’t to hand out golden halos or publish a personal fan club list. It was simply to highlight a very obvious and recurring pattern — that the most prominent figures over the past few decades who stood up against the EU’s incremental destruction of Irish sovereignty nearly always had some public grounding in Catholic faith. That’s the common denominator.

The spiritual vacuum in post-Catholic Ireland has left us with no meaningful opposition to the demographic and political displacement we now face. In an age where the country is run by a political class of soulless technocrats, and the population has been narcotised by consumerism and moral relativism, the connection between the collapse of the Faith and the absence of resistance couldn’t be clearer.

To clarify some of the names:
  • Niamh Uí Bhriain and her group Coir were key players in opposing the Lisbon Treaty. Coir’s campaign was one of the few that offered a clear, moral defence of Irish sovereignty, and it came from a place of deeply held Catholic belief. Her mother Úna remains a force of nature in Irish traditionalist circles. I believe Niamh is genuine in her faith and consistent in her message.
  • Gemma O’Doherty is someone whose journey is visible. From lax Catholic when inside the establishment media bubble, to Novus Ordo, to conservative Novus Ordo, and now leaning into Traditional Catholicism. I don’t agree with her on every detail, but she’s clearly sincere and has walked away from the system entirely to live and speak according to her conscience. That takes spine.
  • Then you have Ganley, Dana, Gearóid Ó Colmáin, and John Waters — all part of what I’d call the conservative Novus Ordo camp. They’ve each made valuable contributions, and I believe their Catholicism is genuine, even if incomplete or flawed in parts, likely because they’re not yet drawing from the full spiritual arsenal of the traditional Faith. Although imperfect, they have done more than most in this country, and in some cases at a cost to their personal lives with the full force of the state being weaponised against them.
Peadar Tóibín and other mainstream figures in the official political party spectrum (such as s Senator Rónán Mullen) represent a very diluted version of Catholicism — more of a cultural fig leaf than a guiding principle. When the pressure comes on, they fold. That’s not judgment, it’s observable reality.

As for what I said about Conor: nothing in it was false. He has repeatedly stated that he’s Catholic, credits his mother and upbringing for instilling faith, and often couches his patriotic messaging in religious tones. That’s an observable fact — not an endorsement. Describing reality doesn’t mean I'm handing out sainthoods.

And guess who first pointed out the issue with the lodge backdrop in his Tucker interview? Me. Not you. Not the rest of your Godless crew who were too busy clapping like seals. Meanwhile, the only name that’s come up on your side of this debate as a supposed Godless nationalist is Thomas Sheridan — a man whose only real contribution is car rants from Sligo and who sees nothing wrong with McGregor’s Masonic display.

It’s quite telling: the few people still cheerleading Conor despite the obvious symbolism all seem to share the same trait — they’ve no grounding in the Faith. The pattern continues.

I don't know. I used to be rather fond of Conor McGregor but while I do not believe he is a rapist I do think he is largely a scumbag.

Untrue. I've followed him his entire career and he never mentioned God once apart from telling Godly US reporters who asked him about it that he wasn't religious.

If he's had a Damascene conversion since he stopped fighting (in between cocaine fuelled rampages) then good luck to him.

He's provided me with endless entertainment since he burst into the UFC back in 2014 or whatever it was. Before, during and after a McGregor event was like nothing else I've witnessed.

But he's also a bit of a scumbag.

Didn't I say it must be a very recent thing? Having followed his career from the off he never mentioned God or religion.

Its clear Tiger hasn't a clue about the man he's talking about, having only listened to his ramblings these last few weeks.

Just a couple of memories:

I recall him and John Kavanagh laughing at a guy who knocked someone out with a headkick and then thanked Jesus for it.

"Jesus loves headkicks :LOL: " and "Mohammed loves" whatever else it was. "Fighters choose your religion wisely". They got so much sh1t from Muzzies that Kavanagh was forced to apologise.

Another time I remember another dosy religious Yank asking McGregor did he believe in Jesus and McGregor replied that he'd "whoop his ass" in the Octagon.

This was a Crumlin cage fighter who had no more notion of the divine than a dog.

Its quite surreal seeing someone totally clueless as to the nature of this man thinking he's a Mass-going Catholic having just noticed him posting some asinine nonsense about God on Twitter this last couple of months.

When he started his UFC career (before he got drug-induced brain damage) he spoke slowly and clearly but in his normal accent and the Yanks could understand him perfectly.

I never said a word about Conor McGregor mass attendance —certainly not the real one. What was pointed out, quite plainly, is that he has recently begun peppering his public appearances and interviews with references to God and faith, particularly when he's speaking on nationalist issues or trying to come across as “presidential.”
That’s an observable shift—whether it’s sincere or not is another matter entirely.

Pointlessly dragging up old anecdotes of his mockery doesn’t change the fact that he’s now posturing differently. In fact, it only strengthens the argument that this is all a costume stitched together for public consumption.

Making up claims like I said he’s a Mass-going Catholic only weakens your own position. You’d be better off sticking to what was actually said.

And for the record—even if he was attending Mass these days, it’d be the Novus Ordo... which, as anyone with eyes to see knows, is fake and gay. Literally.

I don’t take issue with some Irish woman having a pop at any public figure. Public figures are fair game, simple as that. But according to her, all Irishmen are destitute of any morals, and they lie, cheat, steal, and ruin rural communities.

Also, according to her, being Irish is “a feeling,” and all immigrants are here to “help us” (is that because they’ve finished fixing their own countries?).

She claims Irish people will always fight for their land, but that’s the exact opposite of what she is doing.

I fear for this woman’s IQ. The absolute rubbish she’s spouting here is embarrassing.
