As I mentioned before, WFH does take some self discipline and focus, it is not suitable for everyone so a blanket implementation either way will suit some but not othersBy and large, all us multi nationals are bringing their staff back into the office, not just my place. As I said I prefer hybrid work but far too many took the piss. Will be interesting to see what happens over the coming months, but can see wfh being phased out.
However, my greatest annoyance was that the company was, in effect, extending its office space at no extra cost to itself, that burden was falling upon me. Yes, they could make a tax free payment of a few euros a day to cover my costs, but obviously didn't, pointing to the fact that I could claim my expenses against my tax liability, a huge cop out, especially when Revenue wants to know your inside leg measurement when trying to claim it, A highly invaisive form had to be filled and all receipts kept etc, it just wasn't worth the hassle.
