The West is being swept by a “pandemic of historical revanchism” as it seeks to erase the memory of World War II and rewrite the Soviet victory over Nazi ideology, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has warned.
Zakharova made the remarks in an interview with TASS on Sunday on the occasion of Russia’s Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Genocide of the Soviet People, which is being observed for the first time this year.

The spokeswoman said that while for a time Russia was absolutely certain that WWII was “a sacred topic for the whole world,” many Western countries adopted a different approach. “They think… the Soviet victory in WWII was accidental and inadmissible. They think that now is the time to rectify this accident, or a mistake, as they see it,” Zakharova stated.

She noted that Moscow used to regard revanchism as “some kind of small germ that would sit in the corner and not go anywhere.” Zakharova, however, said that even “from a small germ can then grow a huge, terrifying pandemic of historical revanchism,” adding that a similar warning could be found in the landmark 1965 Soviet film ‘Ordinary Fascism’ by Mikhail Romm, which became a cautionary tale about the rise and fall of the Nazi ideology as well as of its numerous crimes.

Some Western countries, Zakharova said, do not accept the results of WWII and the rulings of the Nuremberg Tribunal. “No, they do not want to give up the idea of taking over the Ukrainian black soil, Russian oil and gas,” she said, adding that Western ambitions extend to seizing the resources of Central Asia and the South Caucasus.

She also cited an escalating war against monuments to those who fought Nazism, but said the most dangerous sign of revanchism was that “they want a revenge which would allow them to prevail in remaking the world order and seizing resources around the globe.”
Moscow has for years sounded the alarm about resurgent Nazi ideology in Europe, citing in particular marches in Baltic states honoring Waffen SS veterans. It has also pointed to torchlit marches celebrating the birthday of Ukrainian nationalist Stepan Bandera, whose Ukrainian Insurgent Army collaborated with Nazi Germany and killed tens of thousands of Jews and Poles during WWII.
Moscow has said Ukraine’s denazification is one of the key goals of its military operation against the neighboring state.

No wonder the gowls in the EU and USA allow these wars.
As usual, follow the money, it's that simple.
I'm all in favour of rebuilding Gaza, but won't the Israelis just bomb it again?

Jews from northern israel were protesting outside US embassy in Jerusalem, claiming that Hezbollah loves Trump. Hopefully that will turn out to be true.

A couple of points here.

When it comes to the history of WW2 the Russians were never exactly universal and inclusive in their teaching of events, certainly not during the Soviet era. My partner, who grew up in the soviet Baltics, was never told of D Day, Pearl Harbour, Battle of Britain, America's role in liberating Europe etc. Ms Zakharova appears to indulging in a little navel gazing here, believing that it was only Russia that did anything to defeat Nazism, hardly her fault if that's all she has been taught.

Secondly, although I do hear of a resurgent sympathy for Nazism it does not, so far, extend to a desire to invade Russia and steal its resources. Indeed, if anything, Russia is seen as an ally in the movement against the western narrative that is being challenged by the new Nazi sympathisers, strange bedfellows perhaps, but that is politics for you.

The West's intent since the collapse of the USSR has been the break up Russia and stealing of it resources. The West had a compliant puppet in that plan in Boris Yeltsin. They lost that as Putin wised up to their plans.

When the Russian speak of Nazism, I take it to mean fascism as in the West's political/corporate complex.

I believe the choose Putin as the new Yeltzen with maybe 40 years of a duration left. But Putin actually seized real power and destroyed or silenced the Oligarchs. Without anyone noticing, the NWO was set back decades.

(But note, some think Putin is also a puppet. If so, we are screwed )

By this time tomorrow, the 4 day ultimatum is over and the original 2 week truce.

What do ye think.

Will there be a deal.

The stock market certainly has it priced as a done deal

Generally, not much happens, in that case we must be heading to where not much happens !

So, we will get to a deal in the end ~ Probably not that far away now !

Maybe , Entropy is driving everything !

Israel to host ‘biggest ever’ Middle East LGBTQ event

The organisers have promoted the four-day ‘Pride Land’ festival at the Dead Sea as the region’s largest gathering of its kind

Israel is promoting a new festival called ‘Pride Land’ as the “biggest LGBTQ+ festival ever in the Middle East.” The event at the Dead Sea is billed as a four-day gathering of performances, parties, exhibitions, and queer culture.

The official Israel account on X said on Monday that the festival would bring “four days of nonstop celebration, community and connection.” The Jerusalem Posthas described it as the largest festival of the kind in the region’s history.

According to the official website, ‘Pride Land’ is scheduled for July 1-4, 2026 in Ein Bokek on the Dead Sea and is being sold as a destination-style event rather than a single parade. Organizers are offering hotel-and-ticket packages, including all-access wristbands, and promoting a central events space called DOME X.

The website says the program will include performances, parties, exhibitions, art, and queer culture – along with family-oriented activities and child-friendly areas alongside the broader entertainment lineup.

The event is being promoted against a mixed legal backdrop for LGBTQ rights in Israel. Same-sex marriage is not performed in Israel because marriage is handled through the religious authorities rather than civil law.

However, Israel recognizes same-sex marriages performed abroad. The Foreign Ministry also says same-sex couples are recognized by Israeli courts in areas including adoption and family rights, making the country one of the more legally permissive jurisdictions for LGBTQ people in the region.

The label ‘biggest ever’, however, appears to be a promotional claim rather than objective fact. Israel has long marketed Tel Aviv Pride as one of the region’s biggest LGBTQ events. The annual event was canceled during the Gaza war in 2024, as well as in 2025 during the US-Israeli strikes against Iran.

I wouldn't be surprised if Iran had kept a missile or two in reserve to help the occasion go off with a bang.

The Iran That Can Say No

The White House is blustering again after Iran refuses to fall for the “let’s negotiate” trick for the third time:
JD Vance remains at the White House as uncertainty surrounds whether he will depart for Pakistan, with Iran peace talks hanging in the balance less than 24 hours before the ceasefire expires.
Donald Trump claims he’s poised to resume bombing if Tehran refuses to come to the table, he told CNBC Tuesday morning.
Trump earlier this month threatened military action against Iran as part of his ultimatum over the Strait of Hormuz, but he then backed off and agreed to a two-week ceasefire instead.
Tehran has not made it clear whether their representatives will attend a peace summit in Islamabad, Pakistan before the ceasefire expires at 8pm ET Wednesday.
Senior White House officials plan to hold meetings today alongside the Vice President to determine a path forward, according to CNN.
Trump had previously said Vance was expected to depart Washington for Pakistan on Tuesday morning. Those plans were scrapped at the last minute as uncertainty grew over whether Iran would participate.
During his CNBC interview, the President said he ‘expects to be bombing Iran’ if talks fail by tomorrow’s deadline, adding ‘the military is raring to go.’
Trump added that he does not want to extend the ceasefire despite confusion over Tehran’s participation.
What confusion? Tehran said they there is no reason to negotiate. Neither the US nor Israel has fully complied with the ceasefire. The US probably has one, at most two big air offensives left and then it will be out of stand-off offensive missiles as well as defensive ones.
A 3GW military is not going to win a 5GW war.

The confusion pertains as to who is calling the shots in Iran. Thanks for watching.

Looks like Iran has no reason to compromise at all now and arguably have won.

Maybe ( if it suits the Israeli's ) they will let the Hamas Savages loose on these People as well ~ Like they did with the young People at that Music Festival ! ! !

I would say it comes down to who can endure the pain longer: Iran with its revenue cut off, or the rest of the world (particularly Asia) fighting it out for less oil, fuel, gas, fertilizer.

My bet is on Iran. The systemic financial and political effects for the rest of us may be too great to bear.

To be fair, we need a good hard recession to reset the world, especially the absolutely shambolic Western Europe.
I'm well secure at this point, no mortgage, no loans and plenty saved so bring it on ta fuck.
Watch the civil wars explode when the gowls in Brussels instruct countries to cut their health/welfare services for citizens in order to keep paying out to sub-human dregs of sub-saharan Africa.
🍿🍿🍿

So the scummy kraut airline which received billions in illegal state aid during the scamdemic is now cutting flights and probably looking for more illegal state aid because of the mess in the middle east.
Fuck Germany, may it rot in hell.

I agree

I flew on Lufthansa recently and it was cramped. Not in a million years would I pay for business

I had a wealthy Uncle that would fly business class ~ ~ He died a few years ago, and the way we found out was that there was some business class stickers on luggage bags that one of the relations got !

The telling line there is 'unprofitable' routes. Good excuse to dump a few destinations I should imagine.

Ukraine resumes oil flow via Druzhba pipeline – Hungary

Kiev had suspended deliveries of Russian crude since January, causing a rift with EU members Hungary and Slovakia

Ukraine has restarted the flow of Russian oil to the EU via the Druzhba pipeline after a pause of almost three months, Hungarian energy giant MOL has said.

The company said in a statement that Ukrainian operator JSC Ukrtransnafta has informed it that Ukraine began receiving crude from Belarus via the Druzhba pipeline system at noon on Wednesday.

According to MOL, it expects the first shipments of Russian oil to arrive in Hungary and Slovakia on Thursday “at the latest.”
Slovak Economy Minister Denisa Sakova said in a post on Facebook that Bratislava has also been contacted by Ukrtransnafta and that Slovakia should begin receiving crude via the Druzhba again on Thursday morning.

Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky said on social media on Tuesday that repairs on the pipeline had been completed and that it was ready to resume operations.

Kiev halted supplies to Hungary and Slovakia in late January, claiming that the infrastructure had been damaged by Russian strikes. Moscow rejected the accusations as “lies.”

The move to resume supplies by Ukraine comes less than two weeks after a parliamentary election in Hungary, in which the pro-EU Tisza party led by Peter Magyar defeated the ruling Fidesz party of longtime Prime Minister Viktor Orban – a harsh critic of EU aid to Ukraine.
During the campaign, Orban’s government repeatedly accused Kiev of interfering in the vote. It rejected claims of the Druzhba pipeline being damaged, arguing that Zelensky was deliberately blocking oil deliveries to create tensions in the country ahead of the vote. Landlocked Hungary and neighboring Slovakia are both heavily dependent on Russian energy.

In recent months, Budapest has vetoed the EU’s planned €90 billion ($105 billion) emergency loan for Ukraine, citing Kiev’s reluctance to resume supplies via the Druzhba.
Hours after the resumption of oil flows was announced, EU ambassadors moved to approve the transfer of funds to Zelensky’s government, Reuters reported, citing a spokesman for the Cypriot presidency of the bloc. A formal sign-off on the loan by the 27 member states is expected on Thursday, the agency said.

Budapest and Bratislava eralier argued that Kiev’s reluctance to allow EU inspectors to examine the Druzhba pipeline was proof that it has not been telling the truth about the condition of the infrastructure.

The standoff also led to Zelensky issuing a warning to Orban last month that he would pass “the address of this person to our armed forces” so they could “speak to him in their own language.” The outgoing Hungarian prime minister responded by stressing that “threats to his life” would not make him change his policies regarding Ukraine.

Magyar said after his election win that he is not intending to veto EU funds for Kiev, but added that Budapest will not participate in the loan due to financial difficulties. Earlier this week, he urged Kiev to reopen the Druzhba, stressing that Hungary would not accept “any kind of blackmail” over energy supplies.

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico also warned earlier that Bratislava would veto further sanctions on Russia by the EU and resist Ukraine’s accelerated accession to the bloc if Kiev doesn’t restart the pipeline.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reiterated on Tuesday that Ukraine was the only side to blame for the stoppage of deliveries via the Druzhba. Russia intends to fulfill its contractual obligations to Hungary, remaining ready to continue supplying oil to the country, Peskov said.

TDS is raging through the world at the moment.
It's the new 'pandemic', a pandemic of serious mental illness.
No wonder it's so easy to manipulative these poor perverted souls into believing than a man in a dress is a woman.
Must be why the sufferers love the ragheads in their flowing gowns..handy for the reacharound.
That's the radical Far Left for ya.
So funny.

Hope is great, prayer is even better. We should organise a public rosary outside the synagogue to pray for the defeat of the IDF and their unconditional surrender.

I think the (fake) Pope is onboard with that.

Protestants and atheists welcome to attend, as long as they behave respectfully.

On a serious note Haven. If your daughter were in fact to tell you she's a man (if she hasn't already) would that make her a man?
Can link your question to the war in the ME and the impending energy and food crisis?

Just to stay on topic, like?
