Donald Trump.

DUBAI, June 17 (Reuters) - A $300 billion private fund designed to trigger investment into Iran is outlined in the U.S.-Iran framework agreement and more than half that sum has already been committed, a source with direct knowledge of the deal told Reuters.

The fund is designed to give both sides an economic ‌incentive to conclude a final deal to end the war, said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the plan has not yet been announced as Washington and Tehran prepare to sign on Friday.

It's part of a proposed 900bn deal.

As for the MOU it's an oil deal at heart to get it flowing again, but there will be an infrastructure built that will greatly reduce the Straits importance as a route for the stuff. Iran will be denied its stranglehold.

Iran will be denied its stranglehold.

Moronic take.

That will NEVER happen.

You can't move the oilfields, shipping ports, power plants, etc. Iran can "block" the Straits by attacking energy and civil infrastructure of any or all the countries bordering the Gulf.

Seems the haven chap is a big time supporter of Iran by the looks of it.
Sure why not.

Wow. Iran won this hands down.
That must make you very happy, having an Islamic state that is heavily influenced by religious leaders coming out on top.
Wouldn't be my thing considering the terrorism that the Islamists have inflicted on the western world.
But that's ok, hun, it takes all sorts.

Wrong again. It makes the hardliners ever more powerful and creates a permanent threat here that really wasnt present before.

Trump just totally and utterly fucked this up.

Luckily I just have a couple more years left and I can get out of here and retire early.

It's often been suggested that it is the Revolutionary Guard which is the real power in Iran, the government and Ayotollah have little control in reality.
