Perhaps I was brought up in a house that let a young man ( Child really ) run wild. Maybe I didn't have the kind of attention a young child needs to keep him on the straight and narrow school-wise !

There are many reasons that talented People don't get to achieve what they could have done academically.

How many talented people has Ireland ( and the Irish Education system ) wasted down through the years ~ ~ I was most certainly not the only one ! ! !

I reckon that on a rough calculation that my secondary school probably only did well for say 25 out of 85 students in my year ~ I certainly hope that Irish Schools are doing better for a much bigger % these days ! ! !

I emphasise with you.

But you seem to have given up when you could have picked up studies at any time thereafter.

I'm in my 50s and never stopped learning.

Do you think CO2 traps heat in the atmosphere?
