Oh look, it only becomes a 'hate incident' when they put a boat filled with mannequins dressed as refugees on top....

Co Tyrone bonfire lit as PSNI investigate 'hate incident'
https://www.rte.ie/news/ulster/2025/0710/1522803-bonfires-northern-ireland/
I checked this out yesterday. Previous years were treated as 'hate' when they placed election posters of female nationalist politicians like O'Neill. Hate seems to be anything opposing the government messaging on whatever topic.

Indeed, but it seems the fake refugee thing has really tipped the MSM and parties from all sides over the edge.
I wonder why that is?

I read quite a bit of the comments under the various news outlets. The northern ones were filled with Unionists supporting and joking about it. What was interesting was the lack of 'outrage' from the catholic side. By and large they were absent completely. I took this to mean that the Catholics did support the sentiment of the bonfire but couldnt bring themselves to be openly supporting unionists. I wonder if this is motivating the politicians, that there is a unity amongst nationalist and unionists on this issue and its the last thing they want.

What didn't get a lot of coverage was yesterday a house in Strabane had huge graffiti placed on it saying 'Immigrants Out'. This was in the Ballycolman estate with a staunch nationalist/republican area in Strabane. In the days after Ballymena there was a very large Anti Immigrant rally in Newry. Its becoming more difficult for the politicians in the North to paint anti-immigration as KKKulture Unionism as a way to keep the Nationalists on board as the default position is to be the opposite of everything a Unionist is for.

There seems to be a growing awareness by SF in the South that immigration is not helping them. I read, i think on here, about some SF councillor opposing an IPAS centre. But SF in the North are hell for leather for it as away of distinguishing themselves from the Unionists. But already there a clear indications of rumblings in their areas as the reality of immigration is visible on the streets.

This is a terrible, bone headed, stupid take which makes me wonder if you are actually truely Irish.

If Republicans were not commenting (as if you would know or have really looked), its because its just another 12th bonfire. They put an Irish flag on it to be burnt like all the others, like every year.

That's where the Nordie's otherwise astute observations come down.

As long as the self-hating Unionists keep burning Irish flegs etc there can be no unity between the two groups.

I think there was a Russian writer who said he didn't support the Ukrainian Separatism of the nineteenth century, when Russia was a monarchy but now that Russia was Communist he didn't support Russian Unionism because he disliked Communism but liked Monarchism.

I think I'm the same with the UK. I would say I wouldn't have supported Irish Separatism during the early twentieth century but now that England has become what it has with Nigel Farage & so forth I would say I can't be in favour of English Unionism at this point in time.

Myles, you gobshite. Being rabidly anti-Irish is in the DNA of Loyalists. There can never be unity....Loyalism needs to die out.

They are Irish themselves. Just serious self haters.
They hate more than that.

"I was recently reading Proinsias Mac an Bheatha’s Téid Focal le Gaoith which describes how his mother and siblings had to leave their home in West Belfast in 1922 after their house was broken into and wrecked by loyalists with the seeming indifference of the RUC. They had already lived through what has accurately been described as the pogrom of 1920.

More than 250 Catholics were murdered in Belfast between 1920 and 1922. Some of them, like the six members of the McMahon family, by members of the RUC Special Constabulary. So it is hardly surprising that even today the Catholic population of Belfast in particular looks upon this event with trepidation. Many plan their holidays around it but some, in more exposed parts, have no choice but to remain and hope that it all passes over."

Just like you.
No Myles, I dont need to play footsie with UVF types. Unlike yourself.

'Us'
LOL.

Have to say, I have a few Protestant friends and have never had an issue with any of them, in fact religion never comes up as a subject of discussion.
Then again, I'm a normal person who lives in the real world and not some Walter Mitty type of gobshite like we see on here.

The site pedophile is trying to make out that all posters on here support loyalists in the six counties.
It's probably the most desperate I've seen it since it joined the site.
It should go back to its pet 'hobby' or stick to re-typing that thing some illiterate skanger in Coolock had on a banner or something.:)
How or why @Declan puts up with its total scutter is beyond me.

Do you hear about Reform Uk losing another MP in the past few days? James McMurdock, seems that he claimed some "build back better" government business loans for ineligible dormant companies during peak covid times. If it were me, I'd say that government convid policies were so daft, people should 100% have exploited any loophole to get free money.
