These buildings are Chinese --very sub standard and repairs carried out using bamboo scaffolding and the fires are burning from the ground to the top all day and probably all day tomorrow --just like the London Grenfell fire where the entire building just had to let itself burn out for days from the ground floor to the roof intense heat for days .

The EU could face increased borrowing costs and long-term global reputational damage if it forces through its latest plan to use frozen Russian sovereign assets to finance new loans for Ukraine, Belgian depository Euroclear has warned, according to the Financial Times.
The privately owned clearing house holds around $200 billion of the $300 billion in Russian Central Bank assets frozen in the West after the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in 2022. EU leaders want to issue a ‘reparation loan’ to Kiev by using those holdings as collateral. Moscow has denounced any such move as outright theft.

The Brussels-backed plot would be seen globally as “confiscation of central bank reserves, undermining the rule of law” by investors such as sovereign wealth funds and central banks, Euroclear CEO Valerie Urbain has warned, in a letter seen by the FT.
She also warned that the move would make European debt appear riskier and push up government borrowing costs across the bloc for a long time, the paper reported Thursday.

Urbain has previously cautioned that privately owned Euroclear could sue the EU if it attempts to confiscate the Russian sovereign funds held there.

The push to seize Russian assets has intensified as the US promotes a new initiative to settle the Ukraine conflict. US President Donald Trump has expressed optimism that a settlement could be reached. European officials, however, fear the American proposal could complicate the bloc’s plans, with the German newspaper Handelsblatt reporting that it might compel the EU to reimburse any diverted Russian funds.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen reaffirmed Brussels’ intent to press ahead with the asset grab on Tuesday while pledging continued EU support for Kiev. The Commission insists the proposed scheme does not amount to confiscation, though officials acknowledge there is a risk it will be perceived that way.

Russia has long stated that any attempt to seize its Central Bank assets would be regarded as “theft” and would undermine trust in Western financial institutions. Did any of you see the photos of the Afghan suspected of shooting the three national guardsmen, being loaded onto an ambulance?
All looks a bit odd. One report says that he was stabbed in the head by a soldier then shot once in the buttock and once in the leg. Another reports claim he was shot four times. President trump on social media said he was "severely wounded".
Looking at the photo, the suspect is on a semi-seated position on a stretcher with a white sheet under him. Surely if he was shot in the buttock they wouldn't put the weight of his rather large frame on the injured cheek. There is no sign of blood on the white sheet, no bandages to be seen. If a trained soldier stabbed him in the head he would have gone for the temple, which would leave him half dead, or at least if he missed the temple any wound to the scalp would bleed profusely. We would see blood and bandages, but there's nothing. The second thing I find odd is that, apart from maybe his hands cuffed behind him there doesn't seem to be much restraints or people guarding him. You would imagine national guardsmen having three of their colleagues shot would be circled around with arms ready in case he made a move.
There seems only to be one female police officer. There's huge open space around for him to jump off and run as fast as he could with a sore arse.
Finally, had they none of those foil blankets in the ambulance ffs?

The very same! Something similar happened to me many years ago when I was doing some diving training. Having broken the ice to get in to the lake the homemade wetsuit split along the crotch. Took a week or so for the then girlfriend to find it again! Good for the sperm count though, or so it is said!
