How much is Generation X support for mass immigration in the 26 counties driven by anti-Catholicism?

roc_ is correct that there are divisions within Irish Catholicism over mass immigration that can be very stark indeed however I have the impression that a lot of the enthusiasm for it at least among certain age groups is driven by a particular type at least of anti-Catholicism, certainly this is true as regards Politics.ie if you not the wider population. I find myself wondering with some characters whether if you took away their anti-Catholicism than they might develop saner approaches to these issues- that may hold more true though for the females than the males (a lot of males who support mass immigration do so out of addiction to immigrant prostitutes).

Many people want to get through life with the least effort as possible. They want government to be the source of all wealth, food, education and medical service. They see nation states as a cause of war. They cannot understand the hardships of mass migration in the long term and some hope for partners to play with in the newcomers. Its a question of how many.

Well if that is the case they must also be severely educationally challenged in order to support mass immigration because as regards the medium term you cannot have both mass immigration and a Welfare State.

Certainly whatever anti-Catholicism I might of had would have disappeared with nationalism.

That might sound contradictory to what I've posted in the other thread but I suppose I'm talking about Catholicism in a homogeneous society.

But the question I was basically asking was whether McDaisyC would become more sensible on issues to do with mass immigration if they was not blinded by a seething hatred of Catholicism and in particular Ireland's real and imagined Catholic past?

roc_ is not the actual person some people here have claimed that he is, but as that person really exists this claim could get the site into a LOT of trouble- roc_ does not mind in the slightest about the "O'Connor" thing, in fact he enjoys it.
