It also presents huge problems for the Religious Zionists, and literally keeps a lot of them awake at the night, and another problem on top of this is that the Religious Zionist establishment doesn't want it's people to appear too "homophobic" for these North American Reform and Masroti Jews who are "based Zionists" but also very pro-LGBT and will even claim that being so is a Jewish value (historically of Rabbinic Judaism, Christianity and Islam Rabbinic Judaism was the most "homophobic"). Also the idea that the indigenous population is "homophobic" and therefore deserves to suffer is one that Zionist marketing pushes in the West- Jews been seen to be even more "homophobic" than Muslims would undermine that.
