Mass Migration to Ireland & Europe

Is it possible that he is actually Bob Dylan, look at his signature, a direct if obscure quote that only a true fan like me would recognize. And of course Val knew it even though he does not listen to any music except from Cavan and Monaghan, and a few Lakota war songs

I went out to Knock last evening before 21:00 to see what was going on, it was very quiet and with no signs of support or directions. I found the Alexians centre and entered for a peep but again there was no signs of activity.
I then went for a drive up and down a bit but there was no sign of a gathering and so I simply carried on resigning to come back another day.

I honestly expected to see pilgrims and peaceful protesters in some measure but I missed out.

As surprised that the Catholic Church supporters are not doing more, but then again they are also supporters of foreigners aid & development??

Clearly a bit mixed up.

Marc McSharry, Myles. What have you got against him?
I always kinda liked mcSharry .....huge enemy of mehaul Martin.......that was his last hoorah there , I wouldn't have minded seeing mcSharry elected again but he's leaving the pitch
He was also kryptonite to the Healy raes but that goes back to both their fathers time

No too far for ye Buddy. About 20-odd miles from Tobber?

Didn't think a pot smoker would be a devout Catholic though. The two tend not to go hand in hand.

Yeah but i do not visit Knock as a "pot smoker" nor do I use cannabis anywhere within the public space and usually I do not use cannabis at all.
I Visit Knock for Irish Cultural reasons and to learn from the experience of meeting religious and church supporters as well as others who are there.

We may not go hand in hand but we do occupy the same space at times and usually it's ok, especially when it's family;)

Most of the people at Knock would be bead-rattling aul 1's. They'd be horrified to find out they were talking to a junkie.

Unless you told them you were there seeking divine help to get clean. In that case I think you might be received Sir.

Well if you come across anyone there willing to be a reporter, let us know. We have a man in Ballina and covering Meath just at the moment

There needs to be a permanent presence in Knock protesting, even one solitary Óglach.

Nah, you're making it Arseways again you fool. We already know the way to salvation of the Good spirit.
We are (them & I) well aligned with the divine, consequently we have no problem offering kind words & good gestures to the afflicted such as yourself.

Are You a Smoker Myles? Do you enjoy a fag with your whiskey n beer?

The public in Knock and elsewhere should have the opportunity to have their feelings and ideas heard, which perhaps they already do by way of townhall meetings? It might be appropriate to produce a survey questionnaire with which to present to passersby on the mainstreet, church HQ's, council chambers etc

How to get it right 🧐

A group of International Protection Applicants (IPAs) have been moved out of a Co Clare hotel with just two days' notice, more than a year after members of the local community blocked roads in the area to protest their arrival. . . . .

. . . The property originally had a planned capacity for 69 residents under a contract between the department and Cork-based CRM Properties Ltd, which leases the facility.

However, no more men arrived after a group of locals, who called themselves the 'concerned residents of Inch', blocked access roads to the hotel with tractors, silage bales and bollards.

They manned around-the-clock checkpoints to monitor those coming and going on the L 1438 route.

The group insisted their actions were justified based on their view that the isolated rural townland of Magowna was "unsuitable for a direct provision centre".

Plunkett posting up nationalist parades in Dublin but just a few weeks ago he championed an invader Roma gypsy destroying one of the city's ancient Sites.

You Sir, either put up or shut the hell up understand?
