I feel like the reason nobody can answer this is because of the framing. It's a really, really fucking stupid. It's loaded choice. Ultimately, my answer would depend on the contingencies and particulars.

I'll go along with this absurdity and pick A2 despite the fact this entire debacle is obviously going to result in a zero-sum outcome, and you think this is intelligent reasoning, somehow, because you've curated the outcome via query-framing.

I'm reminded of people who waste energy being angry at the gods they don't believe in (especially after a death in the family). Seems to happen a lot amongst the materialist class. They are obsessed with things they don't putatively care about 🤷‍♂️

Contemporary Occidental atheism usually is based on the (arguably false) "Problem of Evil" and yet it all too often jumps from that straight away to embracing outright Satanic, demonic, etc aesthetics (which is not to say that these things cannot have power in and of themselves without regard for the intentions of the people playing around with them).

Indeed. I have long noticed that the modern materialist is not aligned with the Platonic ideal of searching for the good, the true and the beautiful. This alone tells us about the spiritual aspect of these alignments and positions. The atheist, by nature, is in open defiance of such notions.

The materialist has, by default had to drop any notions related to objective truth, and so the good and the beautiful fall away not long after. Hence the cynicism and belittlement that flows from the materialist worldview . Its all they have left
