Something that we must not forget in all of this is that the left, and by that I mean socialism in the days that it meant something solid, always had a soft spot for the destruction of native tradition.

I was revisiting a work on Paul Strand, an American and perhaps my favourite photographer, who was an ardent socialist in a world of greater inequality than now, so he might be forgiven for that. However, he noted of the natives of Uist and their Gaelic tradition after a visit in the mid 50's that

"The ancient culture is very important: the people have shaped it, and to a degree it has shaped them, but I think it belongs to the past. Yet to say that this culture is dying, and that the people can only survive through its continued development is to me a romantic and unreal view of historical development."

Quite what he proposed instead is not recorded but this was in the age of American triumphalism so it may safely be assumed that the imposition of US hegemony was what he would have favoured.
 
If Trump deports some Irish back home, we have to insist that the Governemnt deport the equivalent or more of Africans back to Africa - and give their accomodation to the Irish lads coming back from the US.

There has to be some way of pressuring the politicians to start the deportations. Is it time to bring out the custard pies? That used to be a thing a few tears ago, and it's embarassing for them to put people in jail for that kind of thing.
 
According to Midwest Radio FM 1pm news bulletin, 60 Sudanese doctors & healthcare workers are having an hour long vigil outside Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar today. They are trying to raise awareness of the conflict in Sudan.

It's odd there are so many African doctors and healthcare workers in this country. I assume it's because they can get them cheap, while we export our own. Go to Poland or Spain even, doubt you find as many Africans employed in the healthcare industry, so why so many here? Race to the bottom.....

I never heard of Paul Strand but I just looked him up and of course he's a Jew.
 
I’ll give ye a real account in the last week from a friend of mine (and his 11 year old son) about diversity in Ireland’.

About a week ago my friends son was playing with his friends in a housing estate in Kildare. A ‘deliveroo’ driver in a silver car with a hubcap missing drove up to him in broad daylight as he was playing on the street.

The ‘Indian driver’ offered for him to “get in the car” for 10 euros, he refuses, he then offers him 20 euro to “get in the car”. He runs away to the safety of his friends. His parents check all the ‘Ring cameras’ from the street and identify the car and driver and take it to the Gardai.

The Gardai have no interest in the case and say to the parents that they are ‘racist’ for describing the suspect as ‘Indian’. So this potential deviant goes on delivering food and being a threat to vulnerable children.

Grim stuff, but thanks for sharing. Were the details of the Indian driver published online? Disgraceful attitude from the cops. It might be worthwhile putting the incident in writing and reporting it to various different branches of the Gardai, and also ending copies to councillors, TDs, local newspapers, etc.

They can scrub all paper and electronic trails, if they really need to. But let's make them work for it.

If different command levels are getting emails and letters, they will have to keep busy scrubbing the record.

We should leverage the 10% honest Gardai to force the rest of them to start cracking down on the criminal variety of foreigner.

When making a complaint in person, make sure you go in with as big a crowd as possible, all peaceful like. If you go in on your own, the garda will be rude, insulting and aggressive.
