Labour Party admits there was a "typo" on their website, so there is absolutely no dispute about that:
The Labour Party has defended Mayor of Galway Helen Ogbu after what it described as a "typo" on her webpage in relation to the timeline of her seeking asylum in Ireland.
On the webpage, it stated that she had arrived in Ireland in 2006 following the assassination of her husband.
Sunny Orji-Ogbu was murdered in Nigeria in 2010, four years after the date stated online.
The webpage was taken down following a query by a media outlet last Friday.

This page has since been updated, and all references to Ogbu's history and how she came to Ireland have been completely removed, as if she just fell out of the sky into Galway.
I passionately believe in public service. As a community worker, foster mother and councillor it has been at the heart of everything I do.
I’ve lived and worked in Galway for more than 20 years. I know firsthand the challenges we face – to build homes, to radically improve public transport and to give families a break by tackling the cost of living.
The current tired Government hasn’t got the vision or the energy to bring real change to Galway. It’s time for a fresh start and I’m asking for your trust and your support to make that happen.
I promise to work tirelessly, listen deeply and deliver for the people of Galway.

If all the above allegations are false, then it would be very easy for Ogbu and the Labour Party to set the record straight by publishing the true history of Ogbu's history with Ireland. Instead they chose to play the race card and blame the media and the far right, and avoid providing any further information supported by their own evidence to clarify the situation. Actually they are not even allegations, just questions about a "typo" and seeking an explanation for the discrepancies in Ogbu's story.

Ogbu wrote her story in first person and explicitly stated that she moved to Ireland "seeking safety and a fresh start after the tragic loss of my husband." Labour said the word "after" was a typo, but it wouldn't make sense for her to move to Ireland seeking a fresh start
four years before her husband was actually murdered. As far as I know, Ogbu and Labour have not even addressed the issue of Ogbu coming to Ireland in 2001 (nine years before her husband's death) to have her baby - there is no good reason a Nigerian to spend so much money to travel to Ireland to have a baby, other than to avail of the birth right citizenship which we later removed by referendum. Presumably this baby was the basis for her own Irish citizenship application.

Evidence that her husband died in 2010 (and spent time in Israel by the way):
Nze will not fit into your bill of a typical Nigerian politician; his philosophy of politics without bitterness was modelled after the late Waziri Ibrahim of GNPP. He never saw politics as a ‘do or die’ affair, believing strongly in his catholic faith that only the will of God will prevail at...
