Franco imported thousands of Muslim rapists into Spain and gave them carte blanch to rape the Christian women and children.

But while terrible acts were indeed committed by both sides, there is now a huge body of evidence that Franco's forces were responsible for a far greater number of civilian deaths. Around 50,000 supporters and suspected sympathizers of the nationalist cause were murdered in Republican-held areas, while three times that number were put to death in Franco-controlled zones. This figure excludes the unknown numbers killed in the bombing campaigns against Republican cities such as Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia. Nor does it include the many thousands of refugees who died in bombing attacks as they fled Francoist advances, nor the tens of thousands of refugees and prisoners who later died from disease and malnutrition.

'We pay our mortgage. That's it': Mary Lou McDonald rejects questions over family home

Former TD Shane Ross raised questions about how the Sinn Féin leader paid for renovations to her family home in his recent book

The Sinn Féin leader says that former Transport Minister Shane Ross "can suggest what he wants" about how she paid for her renovations to her family home.

Mr Ross published a book on Ms McDonald last month, with one chapter raising questions about how Ms McDonald and her husband Martin Lanigan paid for the renovation of their home in Cabra.

Speaking at the Sinn Féin Ard Fhéis on Saturday, Ms McDonald said that she and her husband pay a mortgage on the property like "any working people".

“Ross can suggest what he wants. It’s my family home, the single home that we have, that we’ve raised our kids in. We have a mortgage on it.

“We pay our mortgage, we pay our dues, we pay our bills, that’s who we are, like all other working people, that’s it, that’s the story.”

How many African men could Mary Lou put up in that big drum of hers?

I'd say half a dozen no bother. She could bunk a couple of them in her daughters bedroom. She could put another in between herself and her husband in the master bedroom.

An Afghani could easily make a wee pad for himself in the large pantry at the back.

And two or three Pakistanis could make home in the converted attic.

That is not the house listed on Wikipedia for her. 58 Faussaugh Road. Any idea what is the address for that?

Jesus be careful or you will be doxxed. We now realize that you are a high end interior decorator. Excellent alterations right there and maximizing space to lower the carbon footprint.

LOL.

Lucky Khambule, founder of the Movement of Asylum Seekers in Ireland (MASI), said he thought when tents were removed from outside the IPO that the Government had a "proper plan" to house those entering the country, but added that currently, this was not the case.

"The conditions are really, really challenging for the people that seek protection there. It is the tents... nobody knows what is going to happen this time...

"They are not blocking any pavement or pathway for the people, but it is a serious concern and the guys there are really not happy with what is happening."

"It is a great concern of us that this is going to grow. People still continue to come into the country and there are loads and thousands of people that are still not accommodated... so we would really appreciate if there is a proper plan to house people not to subject them to risk of being attacked..."

Speaking on RTÉ's This Week, he said he expected the people in this encampment would be left alone, stating it "is not a fault of that individual to not be accommodated".

Hard to believe :unsure:that the Government have signed up for much more of it through their new Migration Pact.

Mad Times indeed!!

These leeches whinging about how they're being treated in Ireland.
Here's an idea, if they don't like it they are totally free to fuck off back to wherever they came from.
They are not forced to stay here, it's not a prison.👍
