Physical Labour vs. Intellectual Work

Everyone seems to want to do some kind of white collar intellectual work nowadays.

Should the majority of people not do physical labour, aside from a few very gifted people who will do the little white collar intellectual work that only needs to be done by a few people?

IMO physical work is good for the intellect. The more mundane tasks allow one to think deeply, work out problems as they go about their business.
Educational podcasts or audiobooks can be listened to (instead of muzak and shite talk on the radio) while labouring.
