I work in Dublin city centre and saw him up close when he visited Brother Kevin's soup kitchen at the back of the Capuchin Church on Bow Street. There were lots of people there to see him - generally women with sick children. He had a nice way about him and took time to talk to engage with everyone there.

Right now the Catholic Church is run by a Dublin man, the Camerlengo, Kevin Farrell. If they delay electing a new Pope, because the current rules are that a two thirds majority is necessary, then he might end up running it for a while!

While of course I wish Pope Francis all the best on the Slí na Fírinne he is now on, but I wasn't a fan, and cannot say I trust the Camerlengo either.
