That would greatly anger savage Ulster Protestants if you said that to them. Even in Southern actual Protestants would bristle at that.

However the Irish demographic most likely to convert to Islam are women from Ulster Prod backgrounds. In fact one of the leading figures of Al Queda is an Ulster Scot female.

Just to address that point about the young and this revival: well one of the great occasions of the traditional movement, and particularly its younger quotient, is the annual Pentecost Paris-Chartres (or Chartres-Paris) pilgrimage. It attracts a younger crowd because its more a march than a walk and is pretty arduous, anyway now, for the first time, its sold out, they cannot accomodate the huge numbers:

France is gigantic and the french do not desire to live anywhere else and they have all they wish in this huge country .
they have traditions we know nothing about and i have found a viciousness and a dangerous streak in many of them-they can be very hard on each other and there is a pecking order like the British but not the same .
i see great polarization there --people take extreme positions frequently to the point of self destruction.
the existence of the catholic religion in France is a mystery to me as i have traveled extensively in the Carcassonne /Languedoc area and know nearly every village and town and the locals in the middle ages became CATHARS and were then exterminated by pope innocent as he believed this religion which had what is called PURE ONES as their priests who unbelievably did not rob the laity with huge bills for indulgences or for performing any priestly duties .
the pure ones charged nothing and lived amongst the laity and depended on them for food and sustenance and lived like early Christians and as a result the religion took hold as the catholic church was so corrupt
the method of warfare was simple and deadly --the second sons of the nobility of northern France who were destined to inherit nothing and thereby never amount to much were told by the pope if they formed in their thousands and went to southern France and exterminated the Cathars he would give them the castles and titles of those they genocided with absoulitution for their murdering - however they had to exterminate THEM ALL-- CHILDREN ESPECIALLY.
There is a famous quote from a monk who was the popes representative on the crusade when the soldiers tired of the slaughter approached the monk to ask ""surely we should spare those who state they are Catholics "" back came the famous reply "" NO KILL THEM ALL GOD WILL RECOGNIZE HIS OWN"".
scolairebocht --you are a good and sincere man --i am not damming the catholic faith -but it is the target of a criminal element thought its history and i try and be a christian man .
my guiding philosophy was formed by the BBC in the 70s in England when by accident one night i was watching TV and i out of boredom watched a political program and briefly the the great cardinal Basil Hume was interviewed by a crass mocking evil reporter who taunted him as he had just been elected cardinal and to denigrate him the reporter asked sarcastically ""MY LORD CARDINAL DO YOU THINK YOU AN ENGLISH CARDINAL WILL EVER BE POPE ---HAVE YOU MY LORD HAVE YOU ANY AMBITION ?----------"" I HAVE AN AMBITION TO DIE A CHRISTIAN" came the reply which floored the studio .
i was young and i thought about this for a few days and my hatred of priests and the catholic church which had tried to rob me of everything i possessed for years dissipated and i reasoned if a man was brave and humble enough to admit he could be a cardinal or pope and not be a christian --that was the first statement from a person of caliber i had heard in my young life and i never forgot the primacy of being a christian at the expense of Catholicism if required .

The parish priest where I live recently told his congregation that he doesn’t believe in God and asked for their prayers to help him.
