They're done, really. Shelling Belgorod and oil refineries has been the dumbest play since the beginning of the SMO. In the last week, Russia has eviscerated most of the energy plants in half the country in response.
Not sure it it made much diference. I think about 2 weeks ago, Russia realized that when the west ran out of Ukes, it would be poles, romanians and french etc.

So they decided to up the ante.

This vid highlights how France's continued exploitation of many of its old African colonies is being threatened by Russia, hence Macron's super-aggressive attitude towards Russia:

There's a mega amount to absorb there and it starts to throw more light on the EU's involvement in the conflict. We can be sure than the French have been pushing the EU ever further into this and found a willing idiot in the form of Ursula, who as we all suspect, has reasons of her own anyway.

I must admit that the extent of France's involvement in Africa was completely unknown to me, other than a vague connection with Algeria. Is it the case that much of the misery of sub Saharan Africa that we hear about is because France has kept its foot on the head of a drowning man? There is probably a case to be made for it.

To be honest bar France driving the destruction of Libya due to that country planning to create a new African currency that would've competed with the French Franc, still widely used in Africa, I wasn't aware of the level of French involvement in many of the other countries mentioned in that vid.

It does appear that they've been keeping various puppet regimes in place. Regimes that facilitate French rape while they get rich, to the detriment of their own people.

Seems to be the old colonialist playbook. Russia and China must be providing more fairer options to some of these countries.

It's all just one big video game to the generals and their army of online bootlicking shills.

Drone technology being blamed for the failiure of the great four season offensive, nothing to do with the fact that it it hadn't a hope in the first place due to Ukraine simply not having the capabiity to undertake such an operation.

It's the blame game at work, looking for excuses rather than admit Russia has kicked ass.

The mention of Russia having miltary boots on the ground was interesting. Far from being a dormant force, as we were told, it suggests that it has been active, although in a different sphere of action.

Quite what difference Macron thinks 2,000 grunts will make aganst a force he has already faced and retreated from in Africa is one of life's great unknowns.

I've heard a few analysts say this 2000 would be designed to break the ice, so to speak, thus (hopefully, from Macron's point of view) leading to other nations sending troops, meaning defacto NATO boots on the ground.

Insanity isn't it.

I seem to recall that the French defence minister poured cold water on the idea and it doesn't appear to have gained much traction elsewhere. What are 2,000 troops going to do on their own? They'll be a hot target for the Russians and they will need some hardware to back them up. The lack of enthusiam from elsewhere is palpable.

There might be some sanity breaking through after all.

Only when a Russian missile lands in the Parliament in Brussels.
Maybe then!

No it didn't! It hit a dormitory at the back of the plant. The second one missed as well.

Here's a more accurate strike from the Russians two days ago.

In addition to helping Ukraine ramp up its attacks on Russian refineries and ports, I think it's time Western intelligence agencies started sabotaging tankers carrying Russian oil.

Ideally, this would be done in tandem with U.S shale producers boosting their production and Opec agreeing to do likewise (which might be challenging given the situation in the Middle East).

But it can be done. And it'll involve minimal loss of life.
But if there's apparently an embargo on exports, what tankers will they target?

Come back to me with a credible source and then we'll talk.
Ok I'll answer the question you didn't. Russia has halted exports but member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) are excluded from the ban. They did the exact same last year to stabilize domestic market prices and carry out essential repairs. It's no biggie. Don't fret, they'll be fine.

Everyone and their dog knows that the Russians are managing to evade the oil cap and embargoes by exporting to third countries.
The Gulf states in particular have been making hay, importing cheap Russian oil for domestic use and exporting their own at a premium.

If the Western intelligence agencies got their finger out, they'd no doubt be able to interdict a sizeable chunk of this outflow. This in addition to ramping up the attacks on Russian oil refineries would cripple the Russian war machine -- which is already hobbling along as it is, barely managing to advance a few miles since the start of the year.
O course they are. They were also doing exchanges in international waters. Guess who their biggest customer was? The US.

This war has exposed Russian arms as junk

'Junk' appears to be crushing Ukraine rn. Not to mention running Western nations out of Africa via the activities of Wagner and their Russian 'Junk'

lolol

Ukraine is the greatest advert for Russian 'junk' in some time. And with our own eyes we see western munitions and the elite tanks and rocket batteries of Britain and the US getting turned into rust piles.

Indeed, hundreds of old, but updated, T34s which are easy to operate and repair would appear to be a better force than a handful of complex Leopards and Abrams which are just as vulnerable to drones as anything else.

Really? How far have they advanced since the start of the year?
Russia has dominated this conflict from day 01. They have conquered and absorbed most of Eastern Ukraine, copper fastened their ownership of Crimea and will soon take Odessa.

Interesting that you folk shift the goalposts and focus on irrelevant minutiae . Forest for the Trees stuff from you Tuco. We are not buying your snake oil
