From TASS this morning, not sure about the maths though -

PARIS, June 12. /TASS/. A Ukrainian military unit lost most of its US-made Bradley fighting vehicles (BFVs) during an offensive in Zaporozhye, the France-Presse news agency reported.

According to it, the fighting vehicles were eliminated near the town of Orekhovo.

The news agency said that "of nine vehicles attached to the group's mechanized infantry unit […] six were wrecked, three damaged but reparable, and one was unscathed."

Replying to the agency’s question about the offensive’s results, one of Ukrainian soldiers admitted that no serious progress was made.

🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦 The offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine through the eyes of Western media

Wall Street Journal (https://www.wsj.com/articles/ukrain...ll-gains-after-costly-early-assaults-288c7907): According to the 28-year-old soldier, as soon as the regiment crossed the road beyond Malaya Tokmachka, the Russians began to fire at them from Grads. "The fields were mined. Russian helicopters and jet fighters were buzzing overhead," the fighter said.

According to the soldier, one of the Leopards was hit and put out of action. "They were just waiting for us ... positions were prepared everywhere. It was a steel wall. It was terrible," the military man says.

"The plan was to move south towards the Russian-occupied city of Tokmak... The other two units would also be advancing towards Tokmak from different directions," one of the soldiers said.

A fighter with the call sign "Finn", who is fighting near Velyka Novoselka, says that because of the rains and in the swampy terrain, the MaxxPro armored vehicles lose their effectiveness.

"They were made for urban combat and the desert. In our reality, they can get through, but this is a fight," he said.

AFP: A mechanized unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that took part in the recent attacks near Orekhovo, Zaporozhye region, lost six of its nine American Bradley infantry fighting vehicles.

Only one BMP was able to avoid any damage. Probably two more were damaged, but could be repaired and returned to service.

Answering an AFP question about the results of the offensive on this sector of the front, one of the Ukrainian servicemen pointed “zero” instead of answering with his fingers.

WSJ: "There were more of them than we expected," said a 35-year-old platoon leader in Ukraine's 21st Mechanized Brigade, who took part in the assault near Orekhovo in southern Zaporozhye Oblast.

Successes near Orekhovo "turned out to be less than expected." The first Ukrainian attacks failed when an armored column ran into a minefield and was hit by return fire.

Kiev's task is "to confuse the Russians about where the main attack will take place," said Ben Hodges, a former commander of NATO forces in Europe. In his opinion, such a blow has not yet been dealt.

"When the main thrust of the Ukrainian offensive comes, it will probably involve formations with several hundred tanks and infantry fighting vehicles," the article says.

Seems to be corroborated by the WSJ

The only retreats we have seen from Russia of late are tactical ones. I doubt that will change any time soon.
Careful there, it's been crying to Val again this morning.
The poor bastard needs a retired copper to save him from bold people on the internet.:ROFLMAO:

It calls people 'sweetie'.
That should tell you all you need to know.

Anyway, we should keep the banter to the other threads 'cause it'll cry like a baba to the retired copper and PC Plodd will weigh in with his big feet first......😉😉

Ukie supporters sure do lap up all the mind-games the Russians put on for them. All through Bakmut they clutched at the straws of Wagner fighting with the Russian MOD would mean internal coups etc.

A bigger fuckup than our own vegetable selection.
And he means it.
They Don't have any interest in their own people
.
It's all about the perverted proxy war against Russia and the blood money that makes for the corrupt terrorist military industrial complex.

Another one with an unhealthy interest in children.
Seems to be a prerequisite for supporting Uki Nazis.
A children's book author.
As a senior member of government.
And he reckons he will be able to do this.
Fuck the effects on the economy and people of Germany.
Beggars belief!

Rainmaker claimed on P.ie that you said in a PM to him that the situation in the Ukraine should be called a Special Military Operation and not a war and because people were allowed to call it a war you left? I was a mod on PoliticalIrish.com and I do not recall you ever making such demands to me or the other mods so I disbelieve him.

He issued a few short bans for me for calling the Ùkrainian conflict by special military operation and demanded that I should call it war
I also got a lot of warnings and bans for not using approved "reputable sources"
Effectively it was no reason to stay there for getting warnings for every post I made
Especially Dame Enda was really annoyed every time when I was debunking his lies

Just wanted run it through a translator, if that's ok?

⚡️Urgent⚡️Situation around Velika Novoselovka at 23:00 Moscow time⚡️

The enemy continues to advance at the junction of the areas of responsibility of the 5th Army and the Cascade OBTF, which, in principle, was predictable.

The enemy entered the settlement. Makarovka, which is a more serious loss than Neskuchnoe, as it is at its best. If the enemy manages to consolidate the success, then he will definitely try to use this point as a springboard for further actions.

So far, the advancement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area is no more than five kilometers deep into our territory.

On the one hand, they failed to jump out into the operational space - they should have the second and third lines of defense in front of them. However, on the other hand, we do not share assessments in spirit – these territories do not play a big role. Of course, they play - our boys are fighting for every piece of land.
Another thing is that at a certain moment the question of expediency arises from the point of view of preserving one's own resource in order to continue further defense. After all, the enemy also deals damage - not only we burn their Leopards.

It is reported that in the course of a successful counterattack by the RF Armed Forces, the enemy, who did not have time to gain a foothold, was driven out of the village of Makarovka on the Vremievsky ledge.

@rosich_ru

Now it is necessary to keep the enemy away from Staromlynovka. If the Armed Forces of Ukraine succeed, the situation may become critical and much more dangerous than many people think now.

There are few precious reputable sources in a full on sense when a war is going on and I do think basically it is a war. I don't think we will actually know properly what has gone on until months if not years after things have ended and even than it will be a small process. The problem on P,ie is that nakedly anti-Russian sources are automatically regarded as fully reputable and pro-Russian stuff is automatically seen as dodgy.
