They really need Robotyne to create a bridgehead/flank into Verbove. There's actually nothing of any strategic value in Robotyne itself. It's just a defensive line they need to crack. But even if they do, they'll be met with a stronger bulwark close to Russian supply routes. It's a horrible situation for AFU. The attrition is doubtless as immense or more immense than it has been at any point in the war right now.
