Indeed, drones have totally changed the face of warfare. It's been noted before that the MIC might just have met it its nemesis in the form of swarms of low tech guided bombs which can be knocked up in a garden shed while hugely expensive and highly complex planes sit impotently on the tarmac due to said bombs littering the runway with FOD.

Armies have to be of a size that they can take casualties and still fight on. If there are few, if any, soldiers on the front line armies can be smaller and cheaper, and so on.

Maybe the MIC might want to call a stop to this conflict before it becomes a little too obvious to its customers that it is now irrelevant.

Yer man does raise an interesting point about the Challenger in Ukraine. From being the hailed as the latest game changer that's going to knock the Ruskies overnight it is now never mentioned. Is there a fleet of them parked up somewhere, rusting gently away as the UK has asked them not to be actually used as intended because they are not up to the job? Very possibly, and the fact that that military instructors are not going out any time soon suggests that Ukraine won't have crews trained for them anyway. Perhaps it's not the tank's fault they can't be used after all, it maybe the fact that the guys inside need to know what they are doing, and that can't be instilled in them over a weekend. It's all a complete and quite avoidable balls up whichever way you look at it.

As others point out, these much touted tanks and the German and American tanks, are obsolete.

there was an interesting piece lately on the GREYZONE where max bluementhal had a statistician look at the war figures and he know the Ukrainians were lying about their casualties and they seemed to tell the truth about their wounded --therefore since this war is largely WW2 technology --artillery /mortar/rocket/infantry/tanks --they took the average figures from the yanks the English /Russians/Germans for WW2 and lo and behold the ratio of wounded was largely the same in all armies to casualties .
therefore the figures using proven statistics give a death rate in excess of 500,000 Ukrainians dead so far .

Keeping Germany subjugated has been the US's goal since WW2. The truth is, the Yanks are terrified of the Krauts, and probably for good reason. They are incredibly capable people.
