260 Ukrainians surrender yesterday from the steel works in Mariupol. It is being described as they being evacuated.

A large quantity of LNG is being shipped over from the US, but the public are not told that on TV. I would assume the more energy sent, the higher the energy prices here will rise.
Diesel here can not be got for less than 6.50 and I saw it at 7.17 at one station in town.
People have got to be seriously hurting although it isnot apparent yet.
 
I reckon it is practically over for Ukraine, they are exhausted and out of food and everything else despite the western aid. The entire country is only kept going because the US is paying everyone. Blow it up Ref.
 
Russia seems to be making some good advances now, I believe the support from the west has wained considerably now because the cost of living in the west is going through the roof and politicians are starting to panic.

Ukraine will be the sacrificial lamb to return to some normality.
 
It means what we are seeing in the New York Times and elsewhere, it is past time for Ukraine to seek peace. They will have to cede even more territory now that at the start before the fighting started.

Yes, I believe Russia will hold the two provinces PLUS now the land corridor to Crimea and Mariupol.

The war would have been over weeks ago if Ukraine wasnt being backed by the West, now that is slowing down the Ukrainians are losing ground.
 
I was talking to a man today who wasin a coma for 7 months in Walter Reid with 90% urn from an IED in Iraq in 2005. He was convinced that he stopped them coming here to kill all Americans.
He was getting about 3300 a month disability and 75% of his apartment paid, which was 2000 a month. He risked his life. He told me he was scared and said to his mother that he was going to shoot himself in the foot. His father got the phone and told him he was a marine and doing his duty.

The two important cities are more orders surrounded in the Donetz and the Russians will grind them down to surrender now just as in Mariupol. It is slow and steady for the Russians. I wonder how long will the latest 40billion dollars last and how the vote will be for the next batch.

Fuel prices here are stable at high but if the price again begins to rise it will be interesting.

This holiday weekend is the traditional beginning of elevated driving for the summer so the supply will be tested.

It is as if Derry and South Armagh are liberated, the remaining question is West Belfast.

A master plan by Putin would be to defeat the uke army in the east as they will send all their forces there, then proceed west and they will seek peace and a treaty more with each mile lost.

But certainly the uke army seems in dire straits in the East and thery are surrendering in dribs and drabs. Next week will likely see them wrapped up.

The UKes were well dg n in the Donbass and now hat it is almost all captured, the Russians will move west much easier.
Only 10 weeks now till it gets cold and the west will freeze.
I will be very surprised if this is still going by July 4.
 
Now Ukraine has ordered a retreat from Severodonetsk. A bit late as the bridges are down and they are trapped.
The next advances are easier now as thebattlelines will be shorter and less dug in.

Expect a changed situation by July 4.

The war is off the front pages here basically.

I doubt it. They did not try to retake Crimea. The tax take has gone and theUS is paying their wages. Russia can sit back and laugh. They got about 90 billion and it islikely gone. The mood will sour here soon enough if shelves are bare after the holiday
