Looks like the Ukes still in Advinka are now doomed, they are the turkey for Putin's Christmas dinner.
They still have a couple of access routes from their back lines but not enough to resupply troops stationed there anywhere near adequately. The noose is tightening. They will either go the way of the Bakhmut holdouts or hopefully sanity prevails and they are evacuated/fall back.

"If we count from Oct. 10, when the enemy became more active, in some places he advanced by one and a half to two kilometers," Shtupun said on television.

"But it cost them dearly. In a little more than two months... the enemy lost almost 25,000 men dead and wounded, about 200 tanks, and over 400 armored vehicles in the Tavria group's area of responsibility in Donetsk Oblast."

Nobody cares about stats published by the Kyiv Independant. We're talking about a country that has no free media. This happened under Zelensky, who consolidated all media, then nationalized it.

Or in your dotage, have you forgotten this?

It is not possible for the media to report objectively in Ukraine. Even if they had the inclination they no longer have the tools.

I don't doubt his sincerity for some reason.

"Russia, unlike Ukrainian “temporary people in power,” never abandons the wounded, said Russian President Vladimir Putin."
And this strangely unreported bit of candour.

"Ireland will not be able to guarantee the security of Ukraine and does not see the prospect of its joining the EU in the future.:

:This was stated by Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar in a conversation with pranksters Vovan and Lexus. According to him, the Irish Armed Forces “do not have the power that could change the situation.”

"Varadkar added that to be a member of the EU, “any state must meet certain standards in terms of democracy, the justice system, the legal system and the economy. Negotiations on accession can take a long time," he states."
But Leo had it covered!

"Will you walk into my parlour?" said a spider to a fly;
" 'Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy.
The way into my parlour is up a winding stair,
And I have many pretty things to shew when you are there."
"Oh no, no!" said the little fly, "to ask me is in vain,
For who goes up your winding stair can ne'er come down again"

Lol. That should be included in every 'invitation' letter sent out.

Only Olli Rehn could propose to use last EU reserves to support Ukraine
The European Union should prepare to tap a little-used €80 billion ($88 billion) rescue fund to support Ukraine’s war against Russia as the flow of money from both sides of the Atlantic threatens to dry up, according to Finland’s Olli Rehn.

If you read between the lines of Jerry's posts, you'll see pretty clearly that he's more or less accepted that the hot war has been lost by Ukraine. Instead, he's now moved on to posting articles relating to how badly this war is costing Russia.

Don't let him get away with it.

I would argue that it is making Russia stronger by the day. Putin has eliminated about 100000 convicts and assorted troublemakers from his prisons. He is now rounding up a few million Muslims and they are for the front.

As he sees the Ukes all done, he must pack them into the grinder as fast as possible.

I don't on balance think wars are good for demographics. When writing The road to wigan pier, George Orwell noted that the general standard of physically fine specimens of males in England had declined greatly from the time he was a child. He asked where all the gigantic, barrel-chested men of his youth had gone toi be replaced by weedy stick-men, and concluded that most of them lay in the fields of flanders. Jack London also wrote about this in people of the abyss, and remarked that England had more or less sent its physically best to die in wars for empire/ to America for so long that mostly all that remained were the dreck. He blamed the navy in particular and quoted a poem that was bandied about in the east-end:

There dwells a wife by the northern gate
And a wealthy wife is she
She breeds a breed o' rovin' men
And casts them over sea
And some are drowned in deepest water
And some in sight of shore
And word's sent back to the weary wife
And ever she sends more.

Putin is doing the opposite I assume, keeping the good men at home safe.

So EU funded Serbia Against Violence lost elections again despite millions pumped into their election campaign
This is why they are protesting with English posters to make pictures for their sponsors

This was the bit that was the significant information in that post:

'SNS won 46.2% of votes'

46.2% is significantly lower than 60%. I can't speak to "millions being pumped into the opposition campaign" and the deliberate deflection makes me suspicious of the genuineness of your reply.

An online friend from the country simply described the election as theatre and fraud with the US embassy controlling both the ruling party and the opposistion.

So they think that Vucic is a proxy of America? Is he not more like Orban? That's the impression I got. In any case he's secured his majority and I suppose we'll see what he does with it.

This Kosova thing is ongoing. It's been bandit country in those parts from prehistory all the way through to the here and now. A thorny problem and one he has a mandate to be stubborn about.

Did anyone give the poor doggy a bone to chew on?

Here Fido 😘🎵

VIENNA, December 15. /TASS/. Moscow’s statement that it will not stand for Kiev using NATO airfields for its fighter jets took the West by surprise, Konstantin Gavrilov, head of Russia’s delegation to the Vienna talks on military security and arms control, told TASS.

"Let me be clear, my statement was met with silence. Everyone knows that when Moscow makes a statement to convey some message, it should be taken very seriously. We were told that right after the meeting, Western officials - particularly the Poles, the Romanians and the Slovaks - rushed to report to their respective capitals. It took them by surprise and they had nothing to say in response," Gavrilov noted.

The diplomat emphasized the need to differentiate between aircraft handover to Kiev and the use of NATO air bases for the flights of Ukrainian warplanes, which "is fraught with severe consequences." "I would like to point out that we will give a tough response to such an escalation of tensions. As for what the response will be, it is up to the country’s authorities to decide," Gavrilov added . . .

"Come into my parlour, said the spider to the fly, it's the nicest wee parlour you ever did spy ... well, let me tell you Charles J Haughey, the Ulster people are too fly to come into your parlour"

Ian Paisley dismissing the then Irish prime minister Charlie Haughey's invitation for unionists to come into a united Ireland in 1980

LOL, no matter how hard the goons try, the EU 'sanctions' are still hitting nobody but EU citizens........
Russia is laughing all the way to the bank.

Of course the war is costing Russia, but the goons thought their first round of sanctions would bankrupt the country and end the war, they're now on round 12. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

It's all getting rather petty now. A machinery company was telling me that although its product was not actually prohibited by the sanctions the grease nipples, essential for its maintenance, are. This was imparted with a casting of the eyes heavenwards, and no other comment, but it was enough. Industrialists are getting mighty pee'd off with the silly antics of Ursula and co who are distancing themselves from reality at an ever accelerating rate.

The only people I ever see or hear talking about this war are ones on this thread. Probably 5 people out of a population of 5 million and we know Comical Jarry isn't Irish or living in this country.....so that's maybe 4 out of 5 million.....
Nobody else gives a toss about it or the Nazi Jews running it and Israel.

BERLIN, December 21. /TASS/. The Kiev regime intends to call up those Ukrainian citizens who have fled abroad for service in the country’s military, which has been hemorrhaging personnel at a rapid rate during its failed counteroffensive.

"We are still discussing what will happen if they do not voluntarily come to the draft centers," Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov told Germany’s Bild newspaper.

"We have in mind Ukrainians aged 25 to 60 who have moved to Germany and other countries. To begin with, the authorities will ask them to notify the Ukrainian army’s mobilization centers of their whereabouts." . . . .🥸

Ukrainian media outlets report that many men literally avoid stepping outside their homes for months on end to avoid being forcibly mobilized by mobile conscription squads and sent to the war zone.
