Yes, Merry Christmas--Russia has fully annexed the hotly contested area of Marinka. It is now 100% under Russian control. Even AFU have confirmed this. Please note this region was yet another that Jerry claimed would not fall to Russia, and over the last few weeks, he claimed Russian advances in this area was fake news. The map is below is prom a pro-Ukraine source. Jerry should do as Ukraine should and just admit defeat.

The US regime has reached the point of outright lying in the propganda war. Here, Blinken says that Ukraine has conceded absolutely no territory to Russia in 2023. This objectively and verifiably false. Bakhmut, Marinka, Soledar are three that come to mind. This echoes the line given by Zitler earlier this week who said that Russia 'Didn't occupy a single village in 2023".

So that's where we're at, ladies and gents. Bald-faced lying.

Worse still, they're actually certifiable quite mad, full spectrum dominators have been attacking and killing everything since they've invented themselves over 200 years and now they've launched WW3 - That's no Lie.

Most NATO Allies have significantly depleted their already small conventional military stockpiles and capabilities by donating their equipment to Ukraine. The Allies also have a very limited industrial base that is unfit for meeting the security challenges of the 21st century and unable to reconstitute these capabilities unless defence investments are substantially and urgently increased.

If undisrupted, Russia has the capacity to train approximately 130,000 troops every six months into cohered units and formations available for launching operations. Additional troops can be mobilised and pushed into

An additional limiting factor so far in the sustainability of Ukrainian fires is artillery barrels. It is assessed that Ukraine will need 1500-2000 barrels per year with each unit costing up to €900,000. Given the limited number of barrel machines, particular focus should be provided for companies to expand barrel manufacturing. The United States and the European Allies need to critically reassess the unsustainable fragmentation that has led to Ukraine using at least 17 different artillery platforms. The goal should be to reduce this number by several times.

The United States has a much higher stake in Russia's war on Ukraine than most people think. A Russian conquest of all of Ukraine is by no means impossible if the United States cuts off all military assistance and Europe follows suit. Such an outcome would bring a battered but triumphant Russian army right up to NATO’s border from the Black Sea to the Arctic Ocean.

https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fa5da3a54-80f5-44d8-bc6b-d12a37f6e20b_1061x366.png

To deter and defend against a renewed Russian threat following a full Russian victory in Ukraine the United States will have to deploy to Eastern Europe a sizable portion of its ground forces. The United States will have to station in Europe a large number of stealth aircraft. Building and maintaining those aircraft is intrinsically expensive, but challenges in manufacturing them rapidly will likely force the United States to make a terrible choice between keeping enough in Asia to defend Taiwan and its other Asian allies and deterring or defeating a Russian attack on a NATO ally. The entire undertaking will cost a fortune, and the cost will last as long as the Russian threat continues—potentially indefinitely.

The sudden collapse of Western aid would likely lead sooner or later to the collapse of Ukraine’s ability to hold off the Russian military. Russian forces could push all the way to the western Ukrainian border in such a scenario and establish new military bases on the borders of Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania. The Russians are preparing occupation military forces to handle the almost inevitable Ukrainian insurgency while leaving front line troops free to threaten NATO.

The Russians have expanded their army’s structure to fight the war and have indicated their intention of retaining the larger structure after the war.[5] They could readily station three full armies (the 18th Combined Arms Army and the 25th Combined Arms Army newly created for this war and the 8th Guards Combined Arms Army) on the borders of Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and Romania.[6]

NATO would be unable to defend against such an attack with the forces currently in Europe. The United States would need to move large numbers of American soldiers to the entire eastern NATO border from the Baltic to the Black Sea to deter Russian adventurism and be prepared to defeat a Russian attack. The United States would also need to commit a significant proportion of its fleet of stealth aircraft permanently to Europe. NATO defense strategy relies on air superiority not merely to protect NATO troops from enemy attack but also to use air power to offset smaller NATO ground forces and limited stocks of NATO artillery. The United States would have to keep large numbers of stealth aircraft available in Europe to penetrate and destroy Russian air defense systems—and keep the Russians from re-establishing effective air defense—so that non-stealthy aircraft and cruise missiles can reach their targets. The requirement to commit a significant stealth aircraft fleet to Europe could badly degrade America’s ability to respond effectively to Chinese aggression against Taiwan since all Taiwan scenarios rely heavily on the same stealth aircraft that would be needed to defend Europe.

The cost of these defensive measures would be astronomical and would likely be accompanied by a period of very high risk when US forces were not adequately prepared or postured to handle either Russia or China, let alone both together.

Talking about needing best Luck? Dutch F-16's are on the way into service - Perhaps they'll fare better than German leopard tanks??🥴

Meanwhile . . .
. . . According to the ministry's statement, total enemy losses over the past day amounted to up to 200 military personnel killed and wounded, two infantry fighting vehicles and six vehicles.
. . . Over the given period, the Russian armed forces have repulsed three attacks by Ukrainian troops in the Kupyansk direction, one attack in the Donetsk direction and another one in the Krasny Liman direction.
. . . Kiev has also lost up to 180 soldiers in the Krasny Liman direction over the past day, the ministry added.

Not so, I feel hurt and concerned for Troops on all sides of the conflict.
You were demonstrating some Wukrainian gains on hitting Russian machinery, fair enough.
In reply I showed a far more serious aspect to the conflict in the same period.
Of course Wukraine will target other Russian planes but be sure the F-16's are in for it too.

BTW it's appreciated that you have demonstrated well that Russia's in for a far rougher ride despite it's current position on the battlefield. I'm afraid that terrible things are going unfold for all participants.🥺

When, or even if, they actually turn up. The Dutch government has yet to issue an export licence.

Well Russia is killing people right now. If they stop, then all that will end.
Why would Russia stop fighting a war someone else began? This war will be prosecuted to its inevitable conclusion. Clown World banked on the strength of their financial terrorism (sanctions/swift banking access etc). It failed. They knew they couldn't beat Russia militarily. The sacrifice of Ukrainian men was a sideshow and distraction. At best, an attempt to drain resources. Instead it became an economic boom for Russia. War is the health of the state, after all.

Just shows how dumb Clown World leaders really are.

A pressing matter is the need to issue this Friday's pay check to most every Uke, from soldier, to retirement and everyone employed by the State. Who knows how much that is. Just $100 a week is about 5 billion dollars.

No sign of congresssending cash soon, they are likely not back for another 3 weeks.

This soldier says it best: "We're fighting Russia so that we have Russia 2.0 or North Korea 2.0. The Russians pay 1M Rubles per contract. But in our country they pay nothing". He goes on talk about how AFU are kidnapping people and sending them to the front, his friend being one of them.

There's increasingly less reason for any Ukrainian to continue to fight. There's nothing left in the coffers to support either themselves or their families, and fighting-age men fleeing the country is at an all time high.

Another desperate act of terror by a failed state that has the lost the war and has to resort yet again to another tired play of economic vandalism masqueraded as a significant military victory in order to try and prevent people noticing that every single day Ukraine loses more territory.

Ukraine is doing so well in the manpower department that the commander-in-chief just made a statement saying he needs an additional 500K troops and that even disabled people will do. The Ukrainian regime is going to send the disabled to fight.

“Today, operating with disability groups 2-3 is not relevant, because it is not a person’s disability that decides a person’s suitability for military service, but a military medical commission, which determines whether a person is fit for military service or unfit,” Zaluzhny said.

▪️In the new bill, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “agreed” with the concept that it is necessary to leave only 2 concepts in the laws - a person is fit for military service and unfit.

▪️He also answered the question about the mobilization of 500,000 Ukrainians: “ Who the state will call is not my competence. I need people and weapons to continue the war..."

Russia now controls 40% of Bohdanivka. They also recaptured key areas in Popivske.

Developing news about reprisal strikes in Odessa. This seems to only happen whenever AFU target docked ships. The message being of course that Russia could more or less Level Odessa at a whim, but choose not to. Last image is an AFU AA failing.

Russia has held back for the entire two years. They could have leveled the place on Day 1.

It seems to me that their real plan is to defeat NATO with firing a shot. They have had them fire a great amount of their munitions and hardly any landed in Russia itself.

The story is the same every day now, the Russians are moving forward slowly each day. And the West must either take defeat or up the weaponary used. Desperate time for Ukraine and morale.

Ukrainian journalist, pro-state, visits Mariupol and interviews the locals. She is surprised to learn that nobody she talks to wants the city to return to Ukrainian control, and is repeatedly told how Azov fired on citizens and left them to die during the bad days of the war.

China has been watching NATO encroach on Russia’s borders over the last two years and it is clearly not inclined to permit a similar process take place in or anywhere near its own territory:

Beijing will use “any means” to prevent the secession of Taiwan, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Tuesday, adding that the island’s reunification with the mainland is inevitable. Xi’s comments were part of a speech to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, at a symposium marking the 130th birthday of Mao Zedong, according to Xinhua news agency.

“We will resolutely prevent anyone from making Taiwan secede from China by any means,” Xi was quoted as saying.
