Karolina Shiino, 26, a naturalised Japanese citizen who had already generated attention for winning the title despite not being ethnically Japanese, relinquished her crown after just two weeks.

Her decision to leave the role came after it emerged she had been in a relationship with a married physician and influencer known as “muscle doctor”, in defiance of the puritanical culture that surrounds beauty pageants and expectation that contestants be blemish-free.

Ms Shiino made her own statement on Instagram, where she apologised to the man’s wife.

Medvedev predicts Apocalypse in event of Russia-NATO war​


MOSCOW, February 7. /TASS/. In the event of a war with NATO, Russia would have to "respond asymmetrically" and use missiles "with special warheads," Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said on his Telegram channel.

So far, according to him, "all the big European bosses are cynically lying to their citizens" by reiterating the necessity to be ready "for a war with Russia." The Ruskies have cottoned on to the fact this conflict is not popular with the workers having to pay for their fellows on either side to be killed. They are making it clear that their argument is with western governments, not the people of the countries concerned. It might work, hopefully.

Seems like a good idea to stablise and fix the borders - both for the Baltics and the Russians. It's something that can be done to discourage escalations in this theatre - which wouldn't be good for anyone. And, at around €60 million for the Estonian portion, it is cost effective.

Fortification doesn't always mean defense. Very often it means the opposite.
Protect weak directions to have fewer troops defending them and move the remaining troops for attack in other directions
But in this case, it is obvious that in 5 years' time, NATO is going to provoke Russia into war by setting a blockade against Kaliningrad
