This shows how economically illiterate the American establishment is. You can't raise tariffs on essential equipment that you don't make anymore due to de-industrialization. Of course the US establishment doesn't care that essential goods like lithium batteries are now going to cost the average contractor even more. This is just punching yourself in the face.

It is an act of last ditch desperation as the Brics nations move further away from Dollar hegemony. This is also why Israel has moved now, to initiate the Greater Israel project. Israel knows the writing is on the wall for America and the Dollar. Strike now while they can still milk the 'special' relationship.

China of course has been building markets outside of the dollar system in order to weather the storm everyone knows is coming .
