Unemployed & Homeless?

Otherwise I would skill up with some sort of scheme of education and head abroad for work and a better life.

I found some course in a college of further education to do with business but I'm not interested in business.

Is it not okay to be unemployed?

If you want to live unemployed that's your choice, I can't imagine its a great life especially if you want to have a home to call your own.

Eventually, the Dole office will have you doing some CE scheme for your dole.

Have a look at Carpentry, plumbing or Electrical, in my opinion, they are valuable skill sets that are heavily in demand, you could even be self-employed.

Start with something like this,
