I'm not naive enough to think that we'll have sunshine and rainbows from now on, but I believe we have bought us some time. End the wars, send people home. Repair our homelands.
Congrats to the 47th POTUS, Donald Trump.

I'm thinking that with such a decisive win then a lot of corporate America is going to start reappraising its strategy. It is not a question of just carrying on regardless as would be the case if the result was more marginal. Trump has called out the climate change hoax already and that underpins a lot of what is driving investment within companies at the moment, not just mitigation measures but product development and research. Will the whole carbon credit house of cards come tumbling down, what about the wind farm subsidies? A lot of this stuff is made in China and there's enough of a trade war brewing already.

There is also the prospect of Vance carrying on when Trump departs in four years time, I expect we'll see a lot more input from him than we ever did Harris, and that will all be mulled over in the boardrooms of corporations and NGOs.
