The lefties aren't lefties at all, I know of someone attempting to get justice through employment law but actually getting it implemented is hard work despite the words being there in the legislation.

There is a feeling that Ireland has sold out to corporate America which holds such stuff in disdain and the system has shifted with it.

In last November's National Security Strategy it was noted by the Trump Administration that -

We will deny non-Hemispheric competitors the ability to position forces or other threatening capabilities, or to own or control strategically vital assets, in our Hemisphere.

Isn't that precisely what Russia is doing in Ukraine? And doesn't Russia have vast piles of 'strategically vital assets' in its backyard?

It would help explain why Trump is softening up on Putin, but I still doubt that he'll let the US have control of Russia's minerals, or maybe that's another conflict for the future.
