German parliamentary commissioner calls for anti-Lenin campaign

The names of Communist-era leaders should be erased from city streets, Evelyn Zupke said

Germany’s parliamentary commissioner has called for renaming streets bearing the names of Vladimir Lenin and Cold War–era socialist leaders.
Streets in multiple cities still carry the names of politicians from Soviet-aligned East Germany, which reunified with pro-US West Germany following the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Evelyn Zupke, the Bundestag’s commissioner representing former East German political prisoners, told the newspaper Bild that names associated with the socialist past should be removed from public spaces.
“Thirty-five years after reunification, no street should be named after Lenin, Otto Grotewohl, or Wilhelm Pieck. Naming a street is an expression of appreciation by our democratic society today. These individuals, however, symbolize the suffering of thousands of victims,” she said on Saturday. Zupke added that changing the names “would send the right signal on the 35th anniversary of German unity.”
According to Bild, more than a dozen cities in the former East Germany have streets named after Lenin, including Nauen in Brandenburg. A spokesperson for Nauen told the newspaper that street names are decided by the city council, and the matter was not on the agenda.
A spokesperson for the town of Weissenfels said that although Mayor Martin Papke “supports the remaining in the long term,” the final decision rests with the residents. The town in Saxony-Anhalt has streets named after Lenin and Pieck, East Germany’s leader from 1949 to 1960, as well as a street named in honor of German-Soviet friendship.
Many countries from the former Eastern Bloc removed pro-Communist names and statues following the collapse of the Soviet Union. Ukraine launched its own “decommunization” campaign after the US-backed coup in 2014, with the last remaining Lenin statue reportedly toppled in August. Moscow has condemned the campaign as a thinly veiled attempt to erase Ukraine’s historical ties with Russia.

Looks like the russians are moving west of the 4 cities that hung on for months. While the Ukes are on the back foot, I would expect the russians to open another front maybe towards Odessa or to the north in Sumy oblast

This is the shit Russia has to deal with all the time.

‘Inept and uneducated’: Moscow ridicules EU official for rewriting history
Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen had previously repeated a bogus claim that no country has attacked Russia in 100 years

Moscow accused Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen of being historically illiterate and deliberately promoting a false narrative after she claimed that no country has attacked Russia over the past century.
Speaking to CBS, Valtonen had stated that Russia “invaded 19 neighboring countries” during the last 100 years, adding that “no neighboring country has attacked Russia.” A nearly identical claim was also made late last month by EU foreign affairs chief Kaja Kallas.
Responding to Vlatonen’s comments on Tuesday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova questioned why the Finnish minister “does not know that in 1941 Nazi Germany attacked the USSR.” She suggested this was either due to “the influence of a German school” which Valtonen attended in her childhood or the “degradation of democratic institutions.”

Zakharova recalled multiple examples of Russia being attacked by neighboring states, including Finland’s own early-20th-century incursions.
She has said she will provide Valtonen with a Finnish translation of the Russian Military Historical Society’s “Black Book: A Brief History of Swedish and Finnish Russophobia.”

The spokeswoman went on to suggest that Valtonen’s remarks reflect a broader pattern in which Western Europe “deliberately promotes the inept and uneducated to fundamental government posts” while NATO hands out coordinated talking points to push a hostile anti-Russian narrative.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and other officials have linked such claims to an entrenched “animalistic Russophobia” in Western European governments that continue to raise alarms over a supposed threat posed by Moscow.
Russia has repeatedly insisted that it has no hostile intentions toward any EU or NATO states.
Moscow has argued that the claims of an impending Russian attack are being used by Western European leaders to justify increased military spending, expanding mobilization initiatives, tighter security measures, and undermine US-led efforts to reach a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict.

It not Ignorance.
It's sheer evil in respect of the casualties in the Ukraine.

The EU rolls up in its clown car to rob a bank ‘for Ukraine’

Handing Russian assets over to Ukraine would be nothing more than theft disguised as a moral choice and a public service

Memo to the unelected Eurobozos of the European Union’s executive branch 'responsible' for setting policy: just because you keep calling a pile of cash you’re hell-bent on handing over to Ukraine a “loan” doesn’t mean it actually is.
No one in their right mind would lend you money right now. Which is why you’re stealing it from taxpayers, or from Russia. Even your own European Central Bank is calling the whole thing a stretch.
Maybe an analogy will help illustrate how unhinged this plan is. Imagine the average European walking into a bank with a little dude in a hoodie and cargo pants and saying, “He’d like a $100 billion loan, please.” The manager hands the kid a set of crayons they give out for free, laughs until their cheeks cramp, then asks: “How’s his repayment history? His credit score? His job prospects? Any pay stubs? Anything?”
If all that checks out, maybe they hand him a few bucks. Probably pulled from the Monopoly board game in the lunchroom. Because a real bank must avoid tanking the financial system. But when you’re an institution of global governance, you can basically waltz in and rob the place. Or at least pretend you’re not doing exactly that.
Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky is now at the loan counter with his EU helicopter parents insisting that not just one bank, but an entire cluster of them fork over billions through Euroclear.
So let’s check his creditworthiness, shall we?
His 'job' consists of globe-trotting and begging for cash. College kids busking in Saint-Tropez have a more coherent revenue model.

On the due diligence front, he spent the summer denouncing Ukrainian institutional oversight as Russian meddling, then clutching his hoodie strings in shock when pals and top associates were accused of flushing foreign cash down golden toilets.
As for repaying existing debt, reports last month suggested that the EU feared the International Monetary Fund wouldn’t even consider giving Kiev an $8 billion loan without Brussels co-signing it.
And when the World Bank 'gave' Ukraine $545 million recently, the money was effectively handed to France – specifically multinational Alstom – to manufacture trains for Ukrainian Railways.
Kind of like when your grandma gives you Christmas money by handing it directly to your parents so you don’t blow it all on candy and video games.
What about Ukraine’s actual credit score? According to the latest Fitch ratings, the country is in default. “Ukraine missed a $665 million payment on $2.6 billion of GDP warrants on 2 June and a 10-day grace period expired without payment,” the agency noted.
Try missing your car or mortgage payments and see how that goes. But if you’re Ukraine, you just keep 'borrowing' cash from Europeans, and Brussels trips over itself trying to bend the law to make it happen. Plan A is stealing Russian piggy-bank cash entrusted to EU institutions. Then praying that Moscow shrugs it off as the price of victory, even after the EU and West bragged that their own goal was to destroy Russia’s economy with sanctions. Lucky for Europe that they’re so consistently bad at hitting their targets and still have cash hanging around to treat it like a fiver lost and found in the couch cushions.
Meanwhile, Team Trump is working on a Russia peace deal focused on making money rather than burning it. What’s stopping Europe from doing the same? Ideology. They’d rather stay broke clinging to a failing Ukraine strategy than pursue long-term peace through shared economic interest.

They’ve brainwashed themselves into a foreign-aid 'feel-good' spending trance, buoyed by their own delusions of moral superiority. And they don’t care about consequences because none of these jokers will be around to face them when everything blows up and the repo man comes knocking after violations of international finance law.
When was the last time EU execs or bureaucrats were held accountable for anything? Dodging checks and balances seems like part of their job description at this point. Look at 'Queen' Ursula von der Leyen’s infamous disappearing text messages with the Pfizer CEO during COVID, which were followed by such a tsunami of unused anti-COVID jabs that landfills across Europe are now sparkling with expired doses. Then she stonewalled when justice came sniffing around.
More recently, former top EU diplomat Federica Mogherini was recently arrested by Belgian police on allegations of dodgy handling of EU funds tied to procurement at the College of Europe, where she now works.
“I have full confidence in the justice system,” she said. Perhaps that’s because it’s repeatedly proven itself powerless against people like her.
Whatever their screw-ups, their own taxpayers – not Russia – are always the last ones left at the table to settle the bill after an establishment dine-and-dash.
Not that corruption isn’t baked into conflict zones and their reconstruction. Only the naive think otherwise. Corporate corruption can also pick others’ pockets, as we saw in post-war Afghanistan. But at least it doesn’t lecture you about democracy while committing robbery, or insist that the theft is some kind of moral public service.

Is there a map out there somewhere showing the land that was suddenly bought by the Yankee corps and the location of the country’s mineral resources?

A Grok query indicates many of these rare earth areas are the ones Russia has already, or is about to swallow up.

These khunts are determined to start a war. They know it's over in Ukraine but cannot admit that they lied to us, saying Ukraine will be victorious. For the first time in my life, I'm seriously questioning if the EU will implode like the USSR did... I think it will.
Trump will persuade the likes of Hungary and Poland to abandon the attempted Fourth Reich and then it'll die on its arse.
The sooner the better.

We can only hope so.

The best outcome is Russian Tanks rolling into Brussels and ending the EU

Ukraine wants West to pay for election

Kiev is ready to hold an election, but only if a series of conditions are met, including Western funding of the vote, Mikhail Podoliak, a senior adviser to Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, has said.

Zelensky’s presidential term expired in May 2024, but he has refused to organize elections, citing martial law. Earlier this week, US President Donald Trump said Kiev should no longer use the ongoing conflict as an excuse for the delay.

Moscow has maintained that Zelensky has “lost his legitimate status,” which would undermine the legality of any peace deal signed with him.
Zelensky has claimed he was not trying to “cling to power,” declaring this week readiness for the elections, but insisting that Kiev needs help from the US and European countries “to ensure security” during a vote.

Podoliak expanded on the position on Friday, writing on X that Zelensky had called on parliament to prepare changes to the constitution and laws. Podoliak, however, added that three conditions must be met for a vote to go ahead.

“No missiles or drones can fly during the vote. The only realistic path is a ceasefire,” Podoliak wrote, adding that those on the front and in frontline zones must be able to “elect and get elected.” He said that “millions of displaced persons” make the process “complex and costly.”

“This burden cannot fall on Ukraine alone,”
Zelensky’s aide stated, adding that Kiev would be “ready” to proceed with a vote only if the funding and two other conditions are guaranteed.

Commenting on Kiev’s U-turn on holding an election, top Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov told RT that the idea is a ploy to secure a ceasefire. Moscow has long insisted that Kiev would use the pause in fighting to rearm and regroup.

President Vladimir Putin recently noted that Russia held presidential elections in March 2024, even though it is engaged in a military conflict.
While Ukraine and its Western backers have repeatedly called for a temporary ceasefire, the Kremlin has ruled out the option, insisting on a permanent peace that addresses the conflict’s underlying causes. Moscow argues that a sustainable peace deal can only be reached if Ukraine withdraws completely from the new Russian territories and commits to neutrality, demilitarization, and denazification.

Those of us calling for the total dismemberment of the EU are rapidly growing in number, becoming quite a club now, and no lack of reasons to call for its termination.

I am increasingly hopeful the EU will be consigned to the dustbin in my lifetime
It was a good idea to begin with, a common market. It should have stayed that way, instead it was infiltrated by the woke / progressive agenda. It's now a wreck, a "union" Headed by ursala von der leyen, an apt leader for a sinking ship.

No doubt the white men of (ju)kraine have fought heroically, while their ju masters counted the money and smuggled it to israhel. But I think (ju)krane is going to start collapsing in 2026. Trump is not willing to prop them up with unlimited money and weapons and europe is too weak. The white men can only do so much before it starts to collapse.
