Most things you hear today probably would not shock you anymore. For the most part, very little surprises me either. However, one piece of news did shock me. A few days ago, I learnt that St. Teresa's Catholic church in Dublin will be holding an LGBT prayer service.
I don't know about you, but that is shocking. Especially since the Church's teaching is clear - practising homosexuality is a sin.
Answering an Objection - Jesus would never turn people away.
This is true. Our Lord never turns away a humble and contrite heart. He also said that if you love Him, practise His Commandments. Pride flags have previously been displayed all over the interior of this church for previous "LGBT services". This is clearly about accepting and normalising the sin, not about accepting the person.
Answering another objection - we need to welcome everyone.
The most "welcoming" thing a Catholic can do for these people is to show them the truth on the Church's teaching on sexual morality. This would be the truly Christian way. The LGBT Prayer service is simply promoting the acceptance of homosexuality in the Church.
Rosary of Reparation
Something needs to be done to make reparation towards God for this offence. Therefore, on Thursday the 25th, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Ireland Needs Fatima will hold a Rosary of Reparation in front of St. Teresa's.
At the rally, we will pray three Rosaries, as well as other prayers. This is a peaceful gathering where we are simply making reparation and showing our opposition to this sinful event. Please show your love for our dear Mother and her Son by coming to this Rally. Demonstrate that there are still people in Ireland who love God and His Holy Law.
I know this will involve a small sacrifice on your part, especially since this email is giving relatively short notice. But I cannot stress enough the importance of making public reparation to God for this awful offense against Him, our loving Father.
Public prayer, says St. Louis de Montfort, "is far more powerful than private prayer to appease the anger of God and call down His Mercy. Holy Mother Church, guided by the Holy Spirit, has always advocated public prayer in times of public tragedy and suffering.”
So please, if you are able, please attend the Rosary of Reparation.

As practising Catholics, we are filled with compassion and pray for those who struggle against unrelenting and violent temptation to homosexual sin. We pray for those who fall into homosexual sin out of human weakness, that God may assist them with His grace.
We are conscious of the enormous difference between these individuals who struggle with their weakness and strive to overcome it and others who transform their sin into a reason for pride and try to impose their lifestyle on society as a whole, in flagrant opposition to traditional Christian morality and natural law. However, we pray for these too.
We pray also for the judges, legislators and government officials who, in one way or another, take steps that favour homosexuality and same-sex “marriage.” We do not judge their intentions, interior dispositions, or personal motivations.
We reject and condemn any violence. We simply exercise our liberty as children of God (Rom. 8:21) and our constitutional rights to free speech and the candid, unapologetic and unashamed public display of our Catholic faith. We oppose arguments with arguments. To the arguments in favour of homosexuality and same-sex “marriage” we respond with arguments based on right reason, natural law and Divine Revelation.
In a polemical statement like this, it is possible that one or another formulation may be perceived as excessive or ironic. Such is not our intention.
