Because the Russians could send more resources if they are publicly embarrassed into doing so.
But they probably won't as whatever reserves are left need to be maintained somehow and not thrown into a Wagner vanity project.
You are overdoing yourself with simpletonianism. Russia does not do embarassment.

You do realise that Surovikin is in charge of resources. Why do you think we have seen his signature style of strategic and frequent aerial attacks in the last few days?

To test Ukraine AA defenses and expend Ukrainian SAMs. The Russian Air force is the one asset that's not completely denuded at this point, so it's the one thing they can use to try blunt the Ukrainian counter offensives. But they have to try dent the AFU SAM cover.

It's a rational strategy and worth a shot.
Dent? It's a bldy annihilation. As MAF stated 1600 Ukrainian souls have been lost in 24 hours.

This is what I'm talking about. The Russians are telling themselves what they want to hear. It's incredibly sad.
In what way?? As Max has pointed out, Kiev has claimed that they intercepted 29 out of 30 rockets last night but reported damage in 20 locations. You are fooling yourself if you believe that Russia will not now continue with this momentum.

Things are only "worth a shot" when all else has failed and defeat stands at the door.

No.

The Russians said this. Read Maxs post again.

But also, and this is the most curious part, the Russians aren't attacking things that matter from a military point of view. They tried to take out Ukraines power grid in the winter, but it didn't work. They are hitting a lot of civilian buildings.
But they can't seem to take out bridges or rail network points, or telecoms infrastructure and they can't stop arms flooding into Ukraine.

Attacking Kyiv is a PR exercise. It looks good on TV. In Russia.
They hit civilian buildings yet there is no international outrage at all the dead kittens, babies in incubators and old women on the way to bingo that's stock in trade for Western war coverage? Missed opportunities for Ukie propaganda

They hit alot of civilian buildings despite the Ukie AD shooting down 200% of incoming ordnance.

Could you lie straight in bed?

Is this about this weird idea of nukes in Ukraine being set off and contamination going into Poland?

FFS.

Bizarre....worse than 3 sims.
Knowing your Walter Mitty mind you could make it be about whatever you want it to be.

There is a growing air of the rest of the world getting pissed off with the west, and while it is good to see other countries decry the immorality of Neo-liberalism it is noticeable that they fight shy of attacking the forces that drive it.
Slowly then all at once!
Is the way of these moments in history.

Maybe you need to get some air.

McGregor is the nutjob's nutjob. The Wagner group has admitted Russia is losing ground in Bakhmut. TEN whole months they've been attacking a small insignificant city and STILL haven't taken it.

https://www.newsweek.com/russia-kasparov-empire-collapse-1801180 A good piece from Kasparov. Russia will lose and be broken up for the good of Russia itself.
You appear to be as high as Zelensky on alternative pharmaceuticals.

McGregor has actually led tanks into battle and rose to become presidential advisor on military affairs. That suggests he is a little more in touch with events in the Ukraine than a keyboard warrior who lists chasing Polish MILF as a major interest in life.

As for Bahkmut then Zelensky has sacrificed thousands of his fellow countrymen in trying to hold on to it. All that they have left is a tiny enclave where they are dug in to a "makeshift fortress". As has been pointed out, NATO has been beaten by the Russian equivalent of the Foreign Legion in this proxy war against Russia.

The yanks are going to send the F16's now , not sure how many and not sure 44 year old fighter bombers are the gamechanger they think it's gonna be

https://uk.news.yahoo.com/biden-administration-allows-f16-fighters-093736685.html

In a significant shift in US foreign policy regarding the war in Ukraine, President Biden has approved the transfer of F16 fighter jets to Ukraine, overturning previous refusals. This decision reflects a deepening commitment to supporting Ukraine amid an escalating Russian invasion and an eminent Ukrainian counterattack. This comes on the heels of an unsuccessful Russian attempt to break Ukrainian lines in the city of Bakhmut.

Bakhmut is fully in Russian hands clan. It has been since last night.

It's going to make a difference. Ukraine will be able to provide air cover to it's counter offensive. Although the Ukraine air defence has been very successful there is still a risk that without combat aircraft they could be targeted by the Russian Air force.

NATO has nothing to do with it. Russia won't use nukes and the Russian military is hopeless.
Which is happening when exactly?

No one sane person will favour the kleptocratic brutality of the Zis, Putins, Assads MBSs of this world over the freedom and regulated West needs their head examined.
Who's done the vast majority of killing of civilians in the middle east?
Not a good image for the west or an advert for the freedom and regulated West!
