I agree. This sounds as if it is going to be a big story. We await further news. In the meantime we have the usual rubbish of thoughts and prayers and rips.
 
There was a thread about this on 4chan last night and someone posted images and possibly the video. I didn't click any links but saw a thumbnail image, which I didn't click to enlarge, but from that and based on the comments I could see how brutal it was...a hole in the head... :sick:

It's been said that the Irish considered it taboo to hang their own and hired non resident foreigners to do it - back then.
 
Are you referring to Albert Pierrepoint Buddy? The Free State did indeed hire him. He'd come over on the steamer from Holyhead every so often, hang a a few men, and then head back that evening.
 
'The UK’s most hazardous nuclear site, Sellafield, has been hacked into by cyber groups closely linked to Russia and China, the Guardian can reveal.

The astonishing disclosure and its potential effects have been consistently covered up by senior staff at the vast nuclear waste and decommissioning site, the investigation has found.

The Guardian has discovered that the authorities do not know exactly when the IT systems were first compromised. But sources said breaches were first detected as far back as 2015, when experts realised sleeper malware – software that can lurk and be used to spy or attack systems – had been embedded in Sellafield’s computer networks.
It is still not known if the malware has been eradicated. It may mean some of Sellafield’s most sensitive activities, such as moving radioactive waste, monitoring for leaks of dangerous material and checking for fires, have been compromised.

Sources suggest it is likely foreign hackers have accessed the highest echelons of confidential material at the site, which sprawls across 6 sq km (2 sq miles) on the Cumbrian coast and is one of the most hazardous in the world.

The full extent of any data loss and any ongoing risks to systems was made harder to quantify by Sellafield’s failure to alert nuclear regulators for several years, sources said.

The revelations have emerged in Nuclear Leaks, a year-long Guardian investigation into cyber hacking, radioactive contamination and toxic workplace culture at Sellafield.

The site has the largest store of plutonium on the planet and is a sprawling rubbish dump for nuclear waste from weapons programmes and decades of atomic power generation.'

The danger is, as you've probably considered, is that the bots will go and build themselves hi-tech factories in concealed secret locations (deep underground for ex.) and then emerge as an annihilating army in great numbers.
Really, they are "The Aliens" we've been expecting :eek:. . . .

There's a lot of content on YouTube with voice generated narration. For example, if you look at Douglas MacGregor's videos - many of which have switched to animation - it looks, given their frequency etc., that they're coming from a program. But there are plenty of other examples.

So, the news media, as presently constituted, is set for automation. I've been arguing that this was on the cards and it was explaining a lot of their behaviour - the narrative compliance especially - they don't want to be outside the gated community when the time comes, think Venezuela. There may be spots for some of them - it's difficult to think that AI will do in-depth interviews - but the niche for the bland teleprompter types will disappear at the very least.

The report from InfoWars in the post following that is very interesting. A conservative commentator questioned Bard and ChatGPT and they returned back deliberate disinformation - not hallucinations. It's worth a watch. Very much like Ministry of Information stuff. Combine this with AI generated news content and data mining, it's very possible that information bubbles will be created around us each individually that are entirely disconnected with world events all the better to manage us.

They may well come a time when we will be fed news stories and information that are generated by AI - an alien invasion could be genuinely staged with some prospect of success with Unreal Engine, especially once iterated through AI. Look for the extinction of net neutrality - the whole deplatforming campaign was a precursor to this.

The management of COVID information is an example of one of these bubbles - there are still a lot of people who know no better about the phenomenon than what Six One deigns to recount.

We can still have some idea if they are lying to us from logic checking, body language and facial expressions - you can see that those on the BBC are having a terrible time although the RTÉ ones do have the empty vessel stares of good party members. AI will probably be excused logic errors (given it's limited in its scope of understanding) and will deliver the news with artifical masks.
