This is the main reason why IDF just stays and don't move - because US took 300,000 155mm shells from emergency stock in Israel
And 40,000 what they will send is only small part of it
Washington was said to have removed 300,000 155mm shells from Israeli stocks to aid Kyiv’s forces.
The stocks are owned by the US but stored in Jerusalem and can be accessed by the Israeli Defense Force in case of emergencies.

What puzzles me here is that we are told that Israel deliberately let down its defences so that HAMAS could stage an attack yet the country didn't have the arms to follow through its intended retaliation and obliteration of Palestine. Are the elite as incompetent as the rest of humanity generally?

Maybe the definition of elite has been downgraded !
Meanings of word's have changed a bit in the past few decades.

Whe you're the most notorious pan handler in the world,, you're hardly gonna admit you're armed to the eyeballs and risk having your funding request denied.
It also offers another opportunity to give Zelensky a rap on the knuckles for being wasteful.

Lend-Lease or equivalent programs.

Poor bloody Ukrainians, as if being slaughtered wasn't enough they now have a huge debt to pay off. Totally screwed over by the yanks who will be wanting their pound of flesh in one form or another.

Is the conflict anything more than way by which the US can grab more land and resources? Nope.

Needs must, when you are fighting for freedom.

"By the end of June 1944 the United States had sent to the Soviets under lend-lease more than 11,000 planes; over 6,000 tanks and tank destroyers; and 300,000 trucks and other military vehicles.

Many of the planes have been flown directly from the United States to the Soviet Union over the northern route via Alaska and Siberia, others were crated and shipped to the Persian Gulf, where they were assembled and flown into Russia.

We have also sent to the Soviets about 350 locomotives, 1,640 flat cars, and close to half a million tons of rails and accessories, axles, and wheels, all for the improvement of the railways feeding the Red armies on the Eastern Front. For the armies themselves we have sent miles of field telephone wire, thousands of telephones, and many thousands of tons of explosives. And we have also provided machine tools and other equipment to help the Russians manufacture their own planes, guns, shells, and bombs.

We have supplied our allies with large quantities of food. The Soviet Union alone has received some 3,000,000 tons."

I suppose the Russians could stop killing Ukrainians and go home. That would be the solution. More Russians left alive too.
They could, but NATO would only follow. They need to keep slamming the door in America's face.

And Russia certainly is fighting for freedom.

That's a given now alright. After all, Russia did attack another sovereign country here.

Well, it's up to Russia. Their army is being dismantled on the battlefield. I can only imagine the plans China has for the Far East.

It was never attacked. In fact, the only real threats it had since 1991 have come from within. It was the largest country in the world in 1991 and is unchanged in area. No army has set foot on Russian soil in anger since 1991 or the USSR since 1945. No army will ever do so as long as Russia has nukes.

Remind us, when do you expect Moscow to fall?

Keep rolling out that tired excuse if it is all that is left to you, nobody with any sense believes it.

Why does it need to fall for Ukraine to win?

Ukraine can simply keep up the pressure until the Russian army is exhausted. Putin can't call for another mobilisation for fear of social upheaval. Ukraine has stated the objective is to push to the 1991 borders.
