Jimbo, looks like you'll have a war to go to soon for King and country. Guyana is in the Commonwealth.

'CARACAS, Venezuela — Venezuelans on Sunday approved a referendum called by the government of President Nicolás Maduro to claim sovereignty over an oil- and mineral-rich piece of neighboring Guyana, the country's electoral authority announced.

...

More than 2.4 million people participated in the primary, a number that government officials declared mathematically impossible given the number of available voting centers and the time it takes a person to cast a paper ballot. State media attributed the lack of wait times Sunday to the fast speed at which people were casting their electronic ballots.

...

Although the practical and legal implications of the referendum remain unclear, in comments explaining Friday's verdict, international court president Joan E. Donoghue said statements from Venezuela's government suggest it "is taking steps with a view toward acquiring control over and administering the territory in dispute."

...

The 61,600-square-mile (159,500-square-kilometer) territory accounts for two-thirds of Guyana and also borders Brazil, whose Defense Ministry earlier this week in a statement said it has "intensified its defense actions" and boosted its military presence in the region as a result of the dispute.

...

That boundary was decided by arbitrators from Britain, Russia and the United States. The U.S. represented Venezuela on the panel in part because the Venezuelan government had broken off diplomatic relations with Britain.

Venezuelan officials contend that Americans and Europeans conspired to cheat their country out of the land and argue that a 1966 agreement to resolve the dispute effectively nullified the original arbitration.

Guyana, the only English-speaking country in South America, maintains the initial accord is legal and binding and asked the International Court of Justice in 2018 to rule it as such, but a decision is years away.'

He's determined not be exposed as he was the last time (by me) as Marge Mellett.

Another opportune copy and paste job or two of a Breitbart article should keep the idiots like Mad as a Fish, Clarke-Connolly and Plonker convinced for a few more months..

Yeah, whatever. Moving on.

Here's some entertainment news that's a little off-piste. Judge for yourself. It's about people who are the walking talking corpses of themselves.

'The video is not a “succession of disconnected images”. It is actually very linear and coherent. However, in order to understand the narrative at hand, one needs to a thing or two about Monarch programming.

...

On a more visceral level, LWYMMD is about death, pride, greed, revenge, viciousness, hatred, mockery, power, control, exploitation and boatload of egoism. It is about negativity, destruction, and low vibrations. In short, it is a typical product of today’s toxic popular culture.

...

Like in everything else in history, the truth about LWYMMD lies in the symbolism. Through strong imagery, the video depicts Taylor Swift ascending ranks inside a sinister system bent on control and exploitation. Stars like Swift are at the mercy of the people that control them. And when they are ordered to do something, whether it is constructive or self-destructive, they do it or they break down. And when they do it, all they can say is: “Look what you made me do.”'

Wow!! So the presenters are Bots too? Ai generated/animated human shaped VDU's 🤖??

Mind you, some local news broadcasters have presenters who certainly look & sound like robots in different respects . . .
All the bots are very violent too , they know all about killing and torture ....they need plugged out before the self fulfilling prophecy of skynet becomes a reality

The danger is, as you've probably considered, is that the bots will go and build themselves hi-tech factories in concealed secret locations (deep underground for ex.) and then emerge as an annihilating army in great numbers.
Really, they are "The Aliens" we've been expecting . . . .

There's a lot of content on YouTube with voice generated narration. For example, if you look at Douglas MacGregor's videos - many of which have switched to animation - it looks, given their frequency etc., that they're coming from a program. But there are plenty of other examples.

So, the news media, as presently constituted, is set for automation. I've been arguing that this was on the cards and it was explaining a lot of their behaviour - the narrative compliance especially - they don't want to be outside the gated community when the time comes, think Venezuela. There may be spots for some of them - it's difficult to think that AI will do in-depth interviews - but the niche for the bland teleprompter types will disappear at the very least.

The report from InfoWars in the post following that is very interesting. A conservative commentator questioned Bard and ChatGPT and they returned back deliberate disinformation - not hallucinations. It's worth a watch. Very much like Ministry of Information stuff. Combine this with AI generated news content and data mining, it's very possible that information bubbles will be created around us each individually that are entirely disconnected with world events all the better to manage us.

They may well come a time when we will be fed news stories and information that are generated by AI - an alien invasion could be genuinely staged with some prospect of success with Unreal Engine, especially once iterated through AI. Look for the extinction of net neutrality - the whole deplatforming campaign was a precursor to this.

The management of COVID information is an example of one of these bubbles - there are still a lot of people who know no better about the phenomenon than what Six One deigns to recount.

We can still have some idea if they are lying to us from logic checking, body language and facial expressions - you can see that those on the BBC are having a terrible time although the RTÉ ones do have the empty vessel stares of good party members. AI will probably be excused logic errors (given it's limited in its scope of understanding) and will deliver the news with artifical masks.

Interesting times.

Could it be possible here to have for example a poster be represented by an animation and given a voice????

For example Myles and myself have military training. So he could be Clinger for example from Mash and I for example could be General McArthur, @Coal Gas and peat could be for example Napoleon, Jarry could be zellensky playing the piano.

This starts off with some Venezuelan currency fun and then a peep over the fence. It's from 2020.

There's a lot of typos and grammatical errors in my previous post above so (to save my blushes) I've corrected them below.

There's a lot of content on YouTube with voice generated narration. For example, if you look at Douglas MacGregor's videos - many of which have switched to animation - they look, given their frequency etc., that they're being generated from a program. But there are plenty of other examples.

We can still have some idea if they are lying to us from logic checking, body language and facial expressions - you can see this in the anchors on the BBC (they're having a terrible time of it) although the RTÉ ones do have the empty vessel stares of good party members. AI will probably be excused logic errors (given it's limited in its scope of understanding) and will deliver the news with artificial masks.
