In context, E.Burke stays in prison by his own choice, for his own personal reasons, to fulfill his mission as he see's fit.
I know there's more to it and I believe Wilson's is a fault to a greater degree than has been mentioned. Aul Lad did a good job in explaining details which we were publicly largely unaware of.

I look at the situation from a different perspective than the Burke Family.
Enoch can be out before Christmas and yet keep his integrity, he can enjoy freedom and mount a new challenge and defence, away from the school grounds - It can be done and it shall be done, someday - His choice to make or not.
So in context, I don't see he has a problem in comparison to any other Innocent man who's been jailed, Personally I keep my sympathy for Aaron Brady who has been framed as Guilty and given a Full Life term, he cannot walk out before Christmas.

Also the Burke's are slightly misrepresenting the cause of the Jailing, it's not because of They/them he/she/it labels it's clearly another matter as per conviction.

It is the Laws & Legal system that he relies upon for his own good & empowerment. It’ll be interesting to see if he’s actually put in a prison soon.

My friend is a contractor hired to help expand many of the prisons across the country due to the overcrowding situation which has developed in the past few years. He says that there is a backlog of people waiting to go to prison spanning several years. People convicted of heinous crimes 4 or 5 years ago have still not set foot in prison.

He says that the they’re putting 3 people into every 2 person cell and in certain cases this tension is leading to prisoners being killed by their cell mates.

So, if this man is put ahead of all these violent criminals who are ahead of him in the queue, it’ll be a signal as to what the state think is important in terms of sending out a message.
