In a highly relevant essay, the Bronze Age Pervert explains why “economic populists” always end up betraying the nation they are nominally supposed to represent, regardless of whether they are considered “right-wing” or “left-wing”. This is why ideology is irrelevant. It doesn’t matter very much if you elect Ronald Reagan, Donald Trump, Barack Obama, Tony Blair, Boris Johnson, or the Irish Republican Army, as their collective answer to everything is always: open the doors wider, bring in more immigrants, flood the nation!

From that link:

The point is that if Ben Shapiro is publicly celebrating the election of a political leader who is an immigrant Catholic apostate, the chances that the new president-elect has any intention of governing the Argentine nation to its actual benefit are not very favorable, no matter what ideology he purports to espouse.

On the Duran they’re asking why a nationalist would want to ditch his own country’s currency in favour of another’s …
Well sure your mates in Sinn Fein can't get enough British Pounds nor German Euros in their pockets and you think they're the bee's knees.

Certainly sounds to good to be true.

He could be wheeled out to show what a disaster the free market would be.

They wouldn't.
I think you'll find this might be why.

Ye, weird. Why not reign in your own banks and rebuild the economy from within??
i listened to his acceptance speech and it was interesting .
he said what we have to do is not new we did it before when we were the richest country in south America .
we don't need to invent anything we just need to do what has been done elsewhere like IRELAND .

Jews from Von Mises and Ayn Rand themselves have been heavily involved in Libertarianism so that is hardly surprising. This Argentinian is also into weird Neo-Trantic pseudo-Hindu sexual "mysticism". Closer to home we have the very creepy Keir Starmer....

They wouldn't.

The true libertarian position when it comes to monetary policy is currency competition. Under such a system, individuals would be free to carry out exchanges in a currency of their choice, unconstrained by legal tender laws. Sellers would be free to set prices in a currency of their choosing and savers could hold deposits in any currency they like.

Perhaps this is Milei's longterm plan. But he would first need to stabilise the peso. If this is the case, it'll be an interesting experiment,

Plenty of economists on the left are/were Jewish. So I'm not exactly sure what your point is here

As for Milei, he's an eccentric oddball. And perhaps this is what Argentina needs.
