The reform was firing a metal bolt into the forehead of the animal

I cant remember when it was introduced. But before that, hang them by the back leg and cut the throat in an assembly line. The animal must be bled out

That is my understanding anyway
the common procedure for centuries with humans is hanging which is a lonely disgusting death by slow strangulation--- when witnessed by the press in america warders were instructed to take a leg each and swing with their combined weight to hurry up the process if it was taking too long and the killing appeared too gruesome they sometimes calculated the drop wrongly or deliberately to give him/her a gruesome death.
some were shot however no humane directions were given to the firing squad who could at their discretion choose to break limbs and blow away sexual organs and stomach wounds guaranteed to pro lounge death and give as much pain as possible .
i have never seen a head shot from a firing squad .
the shredding of women and children in Gaza is barbaric in the extreme .
the animal rights crowd would be disgusted if you told them they should be more concerned about the children than wild animals -- more will be spent on pets in the world this year than the starving millions -fuck them all.

UK to ban Christmas songs

‘Offensive’ Christmas song lyrics could be banned by Labour law

Sitting in a pub with a glass of mulled wine, while loudly singing along to a Christmas song, is a much-loved tradition of the festive season.

But its days may be numbered as pub landlords must ban “offensive” lyrics under new laws requiring them to take “all reasonable steps” to protect staff from third-party harassment.

The songs affected could include “Baby Its Cold Outside”, which has faced criticism from the #MeToo movement, “Do They Know It’s Christmas?”, which has been accused of stereotyping the continent of Africa, and “Jingle Bells”, which is said to have “racist” origins.

@Declan

"And you are also correct, it is to late for you to try to pretend I did because that is a banning offense to misquote."

Where did I even attempt to imply you did?? Can you read? Or are you drunk?

My point is that you never ever mentioned effective range. I did.

If you did, I'd actually have respect for you.

Now Im threat banned for pointing out something you should know.

Just so you stop getting pistol-whipped.

You will get banned completely for misquoting me.

I said the range of a pistol is a mile, it will kill if it hits you.

I did not say effective range.

You cant deliberatly hit a target at a mile with a handgun. Theres no point in even discussing this.

Ban me. Fuck off. You're a spoofer and you lost.

I did not say you can. I said.

The range is a mile. Which means the bullet will travel a mile and will kill of it hits anything at a mile

many people have been killed by stray rounds and pictures of an afghan wedding where everyone empties a couple of mags from an a locally made AK47 into the air has resulted in many injuries .
some handguns have longer barrel's than an uzi and are rifled and some handgun ammo s deliberately designed to perforate door skins on cars and windscreens and still be lethal.

Went to my local shop, self scanned 8 pack of beer... foreign lad (naturally!), on duty to verify the purchase of said cans screwed up, did his card scan, and I end up with 8 free cans of beer..... cherry on top.. I get 1.20 Euro back in top of that due to the ridiculous deposit return scheme, win win 🤣

So apparently Myles thinks Protestants had a fantastic influence on Irish history and Irish nationalism.

His posts from earlier today have been deleted. But some of us witnessed them and saw the west-Brit, fake nationalist for what he really is.

Let’s just run through this “fantastic influence,” shall we?

We’ll start with Oliver Cromwell, the absolute poster boy for Protestant goodwill in Ireland. He lands here, massacres whole towns at Drogheda and Wexford, steals massive amounts of land, and ships Catholics off west or into exile. All of this was done openly in the name of his Puritan faith. But yeah, cracking influence. Really strengthened Irish culture there.

Then there’s William of Orange, whose big win didn’t bring peace or fairness, but the Penal Laws - laws specifically designed to grind Irish Catholics into the dirt. You couldn’t own land, vote, get educated, practice your religion properly, or exist as a normal human being unless you were Protestant. Apparently this is what Myles means by “positive impact.”

And of course none of this came out of nowhere. Henry VIII kicks things off by breaking from Rome and demanding Ireland go along with it. Ireland says no, so punishment follows. Elizabeth I doubles down; Catholicism becomes basically illegal, priests hunted, rebellions crushed brutally. James I then plants Ulster with Protestant settlers, setting up divisions that are still causing problems centuries later. All very “nation-building,” I’m sure.

Let’s be clear about something though:
Irish nationalism didn’t grow because of Protestant rule; it grew in opposition to it.
The faith, the culture, the sense of Irish identity survived despite Protestant dominance, not thanks to it. Irish people held onto who they were through persecution, land theft, and legal discrimination. Giving Protestant ascendancy credit for Irish nationalism is like praising the storm for the strength of the house that barely survived it.

Myles and his proddy pal James, have no clue about Irish history.

UK museum accused of ditching war medals for trans tour

The British Imperial War Museum has replaced a decade-old military honors gallery with an LGBTQ exhibit

The British Imperial War Museum has turned “woke,” replacing an exhibition of military medals with an LGBTQ-themed tour, Lord Michael Ashcroft, who owns the historic collection, has said.

Until recently, the London museum had exhibited the ‘Extraordinary Heroes’ gallery, which included a collection of Victoria Cross and George Cross medals, the highest British military and civilian honours.

However, earlier this year, the institution announced it would replace the gallery with a tour titled: ‘Exploring LGBTQ+ Stories in Times of Conflict’. Around a third of the exhibits are related to transgenderism, according to the Daily Mail.
“This was part of the reason the Imperial Woke Museum kicked out over 200 Victoria Crosses telling the incredible stories of the bravest of the brave,” Lord Ashcroft said in an X post on Friday. “It is beyond parody.”

According to some critics, the museum’s decision is an attempt at re-framing history towards a more woke narrative.

“With this display, they trivialize true stories of bravery and courage,” Buckingham University Professor Anthony Glees told the Daily Mail earlier this week. What is worse, they “appear to be doing so in order to re-frame the lessons of history to make a woke appeal to young Brits on behalf of a highly controversial special interest group,” he said.

The Imperial War Museum has defended its decision, arguing that Lord Ashcroft’s 15-year loan of his medal collection expired in September, and maintained there was no connection between the lapse and the new LGBTQ tour.

Another British museum faced accusations of “woke” activism last week, after news outlets drew attention to a blog post from a leading figure in the Brighton and Hove Museums group, which called for “decolonizing Father Christmas.” The post argued that a white Santa reinforced colonial assumptions of cultural superiority.

Alka Sehgal Cuthbert, director of UK-based advocacy group Don’t Divide Us, told The Telegraph on Sunday that the people behind such proposals are attempting to rupture Britons’ “sense of belonging to a common past and culture.”

I never said any of the things you've said there. Not one.

What I said was, why do you never mention the great Protestant patriot leaders Ireland has had? We know why. Because you're a Catholic bigot.

The RC church was an enemy to Irish nationalism for a large part.

Despite that all you want, like Collins said, is a Catholic provence. Well, unfortunately that's gone, never to return old boy.

You're just gonna have to deal with it ;)

Yes lets. You've quoted me as saying three things that I never said. Just to remind you that's against Site Rules and is punishable up to and including a ban.

Both JPC, a Moderator, and Declan, the Site owner, liked that post. I'm sure they didn't realise you were making stuff up but I request they remove those likes immediately otherwise they'll be breaking the rules that they themselves seek to implement.
