A brief update. Things are going well. By Tuesday I expect 1200 subscribers and over 250000 views. Maybe a million views in a month , who knows.

we hope to have a person in Ballina, Dundalk, Thorton Hall , on site and we are trying to get a person in Coolock and Clonmel in time.
We have the ability to go live now and the next thing would be to be live at these events .

With so much happening, it is difficult to try to get time for interviews but in time. I will have also a separate channel for interviews

I see Lissywollen has been used as a Direct Provision centre since at least 2013, so we outside of Athlone wonder what has brought the people onto the street to demonstrate this time?

How are things looking in Athlone after 10+ years of planting, how are things looking for the future?

Maybe they are more hard pressed financially.

Yes they do have that direct provision centre, but a few years ago these were modest sized structures put up with the consent of the local people. What they are doing now is entirely without planning permission and on a colossal scale, like Naas and Clonmel which are almost mini new towns.

But also people were just more naive a few years ago, they thought these things were only temporary and the idea was that these people would be on their way home by now!

Planting! it's a huge state sponsored industry soaking up the resources of your town, not that your town had public resources to develop but they do now.
Consider all the locals who participate in the planning, building, development, implementation, operation, maintaining, servicing.
There's nothing else being built!!

In reply to Corky and all concerned. Perhaps the Irish homeless must learn how to work better together?

Really must unite and stick together, need to do what it takes.

Form a club and develop together, the money's there but you've got to prioritize the drive/motivation.

Sitting alone or concentrating on substances will get them nowhere.

Gather you numbers and stick together, when you prepare you tent for the night - Do it together.

500 - 1000 tents in the phoenix park - Every Night - You must stick together . . .

If you won't make it you business, then there's no chance of change.

You can forget it and go waste you time on skid row instead.

We need to see RTE reports from the Irish Homeless Protest Encampments or else what?

For example - Athlone Tomorrow? Well if 500 Homeless arrived to support the protest then surely they'll need some support for their efforts??

Better organisation required - You're going to need a farmer/landowner who'll accommodate the demonstrators, a couple of fields and logistics to ensure the basics.

Going to need to convert a few shipping containers and have a haulage company help out with the moves.

Much to do . . . A couple of Big Tops Circus tents wouldn't go amiss - in fact they'd be essential for the nightly Town Hall meetings etc etc . . .

Exactly. What makes it effective is making sure every TD is covered and the moves get coverage.

Do it in rotation City, Suburb, Killiney hill & Dalkey, Howth, country towns, the Airport roundabout with big big signs too.
Anywhere we Irish can exercise the same civil rights as the Blow-in's do!!

Personally, I'll leave my warm house and join in, pioneer it for the adventure & result,
