If anything political seats should set as a quota/percentage of the working profile of the country. 23% agricultural workers = 23% seats reserved for farmers etc. No ability to stand for election unless you have served as considerable period of time in a productive trade or profession. Fair observations all.
The main qualifications should be to have worked in real non ngo, non su jobs.
Preferably from the private sector.
Own a business big or small yes! a good base.
A bit of real world experience in the work place should be an absolute must.

More to the point, there should be an examination for those who want to post publicly on internet fora.

Just the basics. Like say the catholic church requires children to have reached the age of reason, have a basic knowledge of the sacrament, and know the difference between Brennan's bread that you stick in your toaster, and the wafers you buy in Abbey bookshop that a priest waved his hands over chanting gobbledygook.

Similarly forum contributors should have a basic faculty of reasoning, a very basic knowledge of how the world works, and that there exists cause and effect beyond some tricksy Jews always pulling the strings. They should at least know what politics and economics are.

Such an examination would improve this forum no end.
