As a young child and as an older child i have retained my annoying habit of really listening at the most inappropriate times and pursuing the illogical statements to the bitter end --
which has cost me frequently,
as what you find out is not generally known OR ALLOWED TO BE KNOWN and its preferred you would not subject any part of Christianity to forensic scrutiny .

as the outcome had to be controlled and the execution of Christ by the priests was not legal and had to be done by the Romans as HIS TRUE crime of challenging usury had to be disguised by the seditious statement that Jesus had declared himself KING and this was roman sedition----- only punishable by death .
i despair of the at times of the sickening catholic church who could have millions throng to its churches who currently hold usury as their chief worldwide social criminal enterprise and would join anyone who would fight the current Sanhedrin as the church did for its first 6 centuries of existence .

Shane Lynch, formerly of Boyzone, might be part of the revival. He says that back in the day, he was there when they did a heebie jeebie black magic ritual to boost record sales. He was revolted by it and he is now all tattoos and Jesus.

One cause of the revival is people who bought into the liberal nonsense and realise that we were sold a pup.

A couple of years ago a young homosexual member of the Orange Order was organising a Pride Parade through Dungannon I think.

Gerry McGeogh and the Prods both held prayer meetings on opposite sides of the road against the Parade.

The homosexual said he'd managed to do what no-one else had.: Unite McGeogh's Taigs with the Prods.

What prayers are trad Catholics allowed say in the company of our semi-heretical Proddy neighbours, friends and fellow remigration enthusiasts?

The Prods have an extra line in their Our Father. Catholics have the same line, but they don't include it in the prayer. If we are doing an exorcism outside a refugee hotel in the border region and we want to say the Our Father, should trad Catholics be silent while the Prods say their extra line?

Prods love singing, as does everyone. What hymns can we sing? Onward Christian Soldiers is good punchy number. Is it trad kosher, so to speak?

Having thought about it I've actually owned a few Bibles. The one given to me in school was probably a Catholic one (called The Good News). I was also given a miniature one in school by this lad who went around schools giving Bibles to the students but he seemed like some kind of Born Again type.

I had two more one of which I nicked from a hotel room (Thou shalt not steal?).

But they all seemed the same to me.

In what significant way does your unerring version differ from the others Tiger Sir?

Before they went home McGeogh's parents would kneel and say the Rosary and the Jaffas would kneel and say it with them!

So, there you go Myles, you've managed to make to your mid 60's without having ever seen a real Bible.

The Protestant Bible is not the Bible of Christendom. It is a shortened and altered book, severed from its Catholic origins. The Reformers did not create Scripture; they edited it to fit their theology. If you put a real (Catholic) bible beside a proddy imitation, you'll see that the real bible is about twice as thick.

For over fifteen centuries, the Catholic Church preserved a single, universal Bible, confirmed by Councils in Rome, Hippo, and Carthage. It contained 73 books, including Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus, Baruch, and First and Second Maccabees, along with portions of Daniel and Esther. Luther and other reformers removed these texts because they contradicted Protestant novel (made up) doctrine; books that teach prayers for the dead, the intercession of saints, almsgiving as atonement, and moral cooperation with grace etc..etc...

Protestant translators also changed wording in key passages. “Do penance” became “repent,” “full of grace” became “highly favored,” and references to priesthood and tradition were softened or reinterpreted. These changes undermined sacramental confession, Marian devotion, and the Church’s authority.
The Reformers faced an unavoidable fact: the Apostles used the Septuagint, which included these very books. Yet they chose to cut, edit, and reinterpret, claiming the Bible alone as authority while relying entirely on the Catholic Church to know what Scripture was.

The result is a deficient Bible, both shorter and less faithful to the original Catholic canon. The Bible belongs to the Catholic Church; Protestantism survives on a hand-edited mutilated version of what the Church handed down.

The oft mentioned King James bible is of course one of these deficient bibles with the words altered to suit the new off-shoot religion.

Anyone interested in getting the best version compared to the original vulgate should acquire the ‘Douay-Rheims’ bible.

He deleted them to attack the Catholic Church and justify his heresy. He was a crap priest with mental health issues.

In addition to a convenient re-write and amputation of the bible, he also profited personally from wealthy German nobles, granting divorces and annulments for money, while living in comfort and indulgence; exposing him as a charlatan rather than a reformer.

Not many people know abot the real Luther. It would make a good bio-pic.

Well, while it's technically 'possible' (from a legal perspective) for the consecrated host at a post-Conciliar Novus Ordo Mass might be the Body and Blood of Christ in principle, because the essential elements of the Eucharist, bread and wine, the words of consecration, and the priest’s intention: are technically present.

However, there is serious doubt about the validity of ordinations in the post-Conciliar Church in the first place, which calls into question whether the priest even possesses the sacramental power to confect the Eucharist.

In practice, many Novus Ordo priests don't purposely or properly intend or pronounce the consecration, either out of disbelief in the Real Presence or disregard for the sacrificial nature of the Mass, which can further compromise validity. Even when the consecration is valid, the Mass itself is gravely deficient, stripped of reverence, doctrinal clarity, and the traditional expression of the Mass as a true propitiatory sacrifice. (it's now perceived as 'meal')

For all practical purposes, anyone attending a Novus Ordo Mass today is not participating in a true Mass. The liturgy has been so altered, watered down, and deprived of Catholic teaching that the saints of the Church, if transported from the past to the present, would not actually recognise it as the Catholic Mass and would likely consider it a completely different religion.

The ceremony no longer communicates the fullness of the Mass, leaving the faithful unable to encounter the liturgy as the Church has always taught and celebrated it. Hence why modern Catholics are generally clueless about their faith.

a colleague of my wife married a man from kearla in India recently in kilkenny and she then visited the in-laws in India and went to mass with them .
the church was standing room only and the mass typically lasted 2.5-3 hours .
they have a devotion which you would have to go back 60 years in this country .
the catholic revival will happen if they acknowledge the core of the church laity in Ireland is female and in my parish they provide the catering for funerals and the services to the elderly and church cleaning and att to detail a man would be incapable of --
they serve in a thousand roles --none of which seem to be recognized .
the first girl i dated became a reverend in the protestant church and was part of the charismatic movement when young .
she was a spectacular figure when young and had a slightly tanned complexion and was lit from within by her belief in god .
people parted to let her walk through a room as they sensed correctly a person of unusual grace was approaching .
she skipped the usual teenage comments and judgments also as she was visibly a person of unusual stature who nobody judged .
i was awestruck then and continue to be awestruck and i treasure the memories of her and the intense silent education i received close up about the power of a truly beautiful woman/girl.
she was aware of my feelings and deep respect for her and we both sensed we were also incompatible even though we could not define why.
i naturally took an interest from a distance in her career as a church of Ireland clergywoman and i frequently said how lucky the community is to have her as their spiritual leader and in her eyes their spiritual friend and servant to god and them for as long as she lives - as she knew from an early age that the giving is the nurturing of the spirit of the giver .
it is likely my young brain sensed i would have to compete with and share her with god and my instinctively possessive greedy mind could not cope with that and possibly there are more like me than is generally known .
