Tbf what I came to say is that this weather pattern is indeed unusual. This 'stubborn high pressure' ( Met Eireann) over us could indeed be utilised and steered to dry us out and burn the place...just like they do in Cali. I was listening to some egghead say that these systems have frequencies. Say the regular grid oscillates at x frequency. The renewables being fed into the main grid oscillate at y frequency and this hasnt been taken into consideration - Spain just went pure renewable and apparently this was a reason for the snafu.
