There doesn't seem to be much depth to your conclusions.

In the AI link I provided, it says -

Secondly, the meme compares and contrasts two people, one a scientist and the other not, and then a third party - the media, or the manipulation thereof.

I'm nowhere near done but you seem to be and I'll give you a couple of reasons why:

1) You haven't said to what level human activity is "contributing".

2) What can or should be, reasonably or realistically, done about it.

I was commenting on the meme, which does not represents Curry's position.

The level that human activity is contributing is extremely well documented. You can ask Google AI as you place so much faith in it.

As to what can be done?

What is already in the atmosphere will cumulatively trap energy for decades even if we stopped burning hydrocarbons tomorrow. Its baked in and theres nothing we can do there.

I do support renewables but only as a means for better energy security and not sending petrodollars to OPEC etc. Ireland is well placed here.

The other thing is beef up our security and think about formally abandoning neutrality and getting into defense partnerships. There will be social upheaval in other parts of the world as time goes on.

As for your question, I think recent events demonstrate yet again that Ireland is not immune from events elsewhere in the world. I think taking reasonable steps in energy security and military preparation is wise.

The climate changes, it's what it does, screwing us over on the back of natural events by pretending its all our fault is most definitly a manmade catastrophe, for the 99% that is.

RCP8.5 is the worst case scenario where nothing at all was done on emissions.
But we all know that theres a big emphasis on CO2 emissions now. So it makes sense this would be taken in account.

This is a bit like saying the danger of not wearing seatbeats is overblown because people starting wearing seatbelts.

Talking of heading into the underworld it turns out that not all scientific evidence supports the alarmists mad theories after all.

A Greenland ice core appears not to go with the flow so it is happily ignored with the excuse being that the trapped air bubbles could potentially have been altered by in situ chemical reactions. Something that doesn't apply to the Antarctica ice cores for some reason best known to the alarmists. But anyway, here's a fellow who feels that the Greenland investigation should be taken a little more seriously, but he's only a retired Petrophysicist with a huge experience in analyzing core samples so what would he know?

His belief is that -

The Greenland CO2 responses appear to reflect short-term centennial fluctuations whereas the Antarctic CO2 fluctuations appear to be responding to longer term millennial changes. These differences may be the result of enhanced terrestrial carbon influences in combination with oceanic releases in the Northern Hemisphere whereas the Antarctic low amplitude CO2 responses are dominated by global and Southern oceanic processes. Or simply that Antarctic ice core record has insufficient data resolution.

Which is a polite way of saying the Antarctica analysis may be little more than a hyped up conclusion based on insufficient evidence.

I must say that Fish did take a hiding there with regard to his and Haven's interatcion.

Obviously given Haven's madness I was rooting for Fish but in Soccer terms it was at least a 4-0 drubbing.

Anyone who won't respond to a well thought out post is on the end of a hammering.

However! There have been reports of cheating and AI being used on Haven's behalf.

A Declan Kelly investigation is required.
