Is it time to ponder the possibility of the entire continent now going to be subjected to a Rug Pull. Is Trump and Putin going to do a deal without even bothering to talk to the shower of pansies leading Europe.
It is exactly 80 years after Yalta and the reality then was that the english should not have even been there. Today, they are inconsequential teally apart from nukes which they can not use anyway against Russia.
putin will not budge. He has won and at the very least he gets the 4 oblasts. That is just a starting point. In another month or two, he likely will be far to the west as it dawns on the Ukes that they are beaten and no soldier will want to die for absolutely nothing at all now. There is no more American money and Europe in reality, does not have any money at all. They have a currency backed by nothing at all, not even full faith and credit. The only Faith backing the dollar is the real American military.

what is for sure now, especially with the dramatic downsizing of the federal spending, is that we here are entering a full depression, as everyone is indebted to the hilt.
Trump will tariff every single foreign entity, that is a given. So why would American companies stay in Europe, there will be no European market to speak of anyway.
By this time next month, there will be only 5 powers. US, Russia, China, Israel and India. Nobody else will matter.
This is dawning on the Europeans now and they will be in full scale panic. By noon today, if the hostages are not free, you will see american ships coming to load up palistinians for shipping. And they will go without a whimper after 2 days of no food.
All that is left is for Patel to be confirmed. Then some big name will be arrested. If I had to guess, it would be Chelsea Clinton. And then, all cackling voices of opposition will be silenced. As seen now with no more students waving palistinian flags, they are history.

So lets see what next week brings.

The stony faces in the audience during JD Vance's brilliant speech spoke volumes.
The dunderheaded intransigence of Euro/ Nato leadership will not allow them though to save what still could be saved. They will pursue their doomed ideology come what may.
The German elections on Sunday week will be interesting. If AfD makes significant gains perhaps this ship might right itself once more.
Up to the brainwashed Germans - again🙄

In the last few days, I have found the RTE page on fb and now realize that the irish are well beyond saving because they are fruitcakes. The protests etc etc etc are futile, aside from meeting other sane people.

So I am back to where I really always was, I think the remnant should try to somehow band together and let the rest get slaughtered

The raghead attack on Munich last week will help AfD big time.
A dawning is happening across Europe.
Raghead culture hates Western culture and wants to kill us all.

I am far from optimistic however a large slab of the population do not just distrust RTE but despise it. I have no faith in the Shinners but a significant majority of their voters for instance would have no time for RTE which despite everything else is to their credit.

Observing the type of character who would gather around RTE's facebook page I think would give you a distorted view of how things stand.

I follow your drift but think you are being somewhat over dramatic. The American companies I deal with will stay put in Europe as it is their market and if they withdraw then others will step right in to fill the gap.

They are global companies, they don't think like you believe they do. AGCO, for instance, will not abandon its European factories which they have invested heavily in over the decades, although flim-flam techie companies may gather their skirts about themselves and bugger off, no great loss really.

A director of one manufacturer told me that flexibility is the key to corporate success, if one market falters they will just switch resources to another, they won't just flop in the direction that a superficial logic suggests, they have bright cookies running them, they will find an answer.

We will not see a mass exodus from Europe, that I guarantee, and even if we did then German companies would just love to see the competition remove themselves from the market as they have the capacity to spare after Russia was mainly closed down to them.

Remember, Trump has not started yet. He still has to get some more confirmations. Next Thursday is a month and he will go full blast Friday imo

I really wonder whether the Elites (and I am including the leadership of the Shinners in that) in the 26 counties have a "Plan B" no mind "Plans C,D,E,F,G" (which prudence should demand that they have).

I'm less pessimistic than I was before Trump's victory, and watching his first days in power. Strangely, the interval has seen a stepped change in him, and may have been for the best. This new Administration is prepared and staffed and proving to be of the standard.

What is happening in California presently was in the cards for the Western World, and yet it may turn out differently now. The difference being that there is a tangible chance now, whereas before there was none, and that which we had was only to fight to get one. There's a 10 per cent chance to turn it around. Remember how hopeless it all seemed back at the beginning when there was only naivety to post as surety?

Yes I think there is a split happening between Europe and the US, and the main effect might be that if NATO is attacked by Russia in Eastern Europe then the US will not join in. This would give a free hand to Russia obviously.

Maybe Greenland could turn out to be one of the issues that precipitates this split?

I think Western European Elites have grown so used to be being dominated by the USA that they will take any abuse rather than risk the psychological uncertainty of being responsible for themselves. The Trump administration is now testing them to see how true this is. This is basically "Pimp" psychology only at a geo-political scale.

Why would Russia instigate hostilities against Europe unless attacked/provoked as per Ukraine.?
I'm genuinely curious to hear what Europe has that Russia couldn't trade for?
As it had for decades.

Indeed, I have long felt that TDs are so in favour of the EU is precisely because it alleviates them from having to make any decisions. Whatever is implemented they can wring their hands pathetically and just say Europe made us do it. The same applies all the way up the food chain.

They are messenger boy's for Brussels and quiet happy to be so.
That's been the case since the re run of the Lisbon referendum.

And this also plays into the "ah, sure it will be grand" syndrome in the Gaelic ethnic psyche which I admit at times rubs me the wrong way (possibly because I suffer from time to time from the opposite pathology).

Power is always a drug for corrupt govts, oligarchies and dictatorships, power over people, so I don't think Russia needs any particular reason to invade Europe, except that it can.

Anyway these are all arranged on a global level in my opinion, and for globalist objectives. So, for example, a war in Europe brings with it huge new power by the state over the individual, totalitarianism, which, as Covid demonstrated, the globalists always want. You will find massive wartime censorship of news, closing down opposition political parties, maybe state control over food supplies, compulsorary conscription etc etc. Of course its manna from heaven for globalists.

Then if something like that did happen it would obviously destroy the independence of many countries. The globalists aim for a world government, so the less nation states there are the better. Look how Ukraine's independence is been totally destroyed by war, with even the US blatantly ripping off its natural resources for example.

Then in the long run one of the great reasons for the world government will simply be peace. After all post WWI you got the League of Nations, after WWII the United Nations, the next time it will be this world government and it will be sold as ever so necessary to partially stave off/ recover from nuclear weapons and world war.

Put yourself in Putins shoes .
i am leader of Russia i am responsible only to Russians .
i have all the territory i could desire as you could hide Europe in Russia and not notice it .
taking over west Ukraine east Poland /Baltic states has no interest for me what do i want trying to police these mad bastards who hate us .
i only have an interest in the Russian speaking areas of Ukraine /old soviet republic which have already asked to join Russia and i have REFUSED ? for the moment and will allow elections in peace time when the vote will be recognized and permanent ,
and therefore they are known for the moment as the luschank peoples republic .
what is not generally known is -- i can be impeached as the articles of my presidential office state i must come to the defense of the RUSSIAN people and the people of eastern Ukraine are 98% Russian and i held off for 9 years before mounting the special military operation which was an expeditionary force not equipped to take over any country only of providing a constabulary role for the Russian speaking areas .
the fact that the mineral/gas /oil wealth alone of Crimea is 1 trillion and Lushanck is approx 900 billion and the other ob-lasts in eastern /Russian Ukraine are equally valuable not to mention the acquiring of Odessa and the castration of Ukraine forever as it is land locked and will require permission from Russia to export anything of value and therefore it - Ukraine has to take care of all the Russian pipelines traveling across to Europe carefully or lose access to a port to export .
this is a practical arrangement but not what Europe wanted and it transfers trillions in wealth to the Russian state . .
Putin had to face the fact that Europe was a war with him and supplied tanks and advanced weapons to Ukraine and lots of cash--they sent their best trained officers to plan the combat with Russia and sent thousands of Ukrainian soldiers to European countries to train them in modern warfare .
Russia was effectively fighting Europe and using its satellite images on the battlefield .
they then upped the game considerably by trying to nuke Russia by using spent nuke fuel stored beside the kursh nuclear power station and the huge amount spent fuel at sapporicta power station.
they sent two armored columns in a blitzkrieg mad dash with armored cars to both power stations deep into Russia and the plan was to blackmail Putin into ending the defense of the Russians and withdrawing BUT MOST IMPORTANT HE HAD TO RESIGN and allow the breakup of Russia.
they would then explode the spent fuel areas and poison Russia for thousands of years and blame Putin and cause chaos .
it must be remembered that these are NUCLEAR EVENTS which he has addressed bluntly before and said clearly that he undertook privately and now publicly NEVER TO BE THE ONE WHO USED A NUCLEAR BOMB FIRST-- this entirely moral position was met with Europe stabbing him in the back with the Minsk accords where all of europes prime ministers openly stated they only signed it to allow Ukraine to build itself up.
they did not care what offense this caused Russia .
they now were responsible for not one but TWO nuclear incidents with the attempt to turn the power stations into dirty bombs .
this in any language is a nuclear attack on a nuclear power and risks the extinction of mankind .
i would not discuss any matter with these people again -- Europe is finished it has made its bed with the orange madman who knows they have nowhere to go for their energy except to him and he will bleed them dry --that is why volks wagen have surrendered and moved their production out of Germany to the USA where they can get energy .

I feel that one of the unspoken drivers of inflation is that goods are getting more sophisticated and therefore more expensive, chips with everything has pushed prices up, just look at cars.

Of course this is quite deliberate as it inflates the manufacturers margins but when they get too expensive and stop selling manufacturers will tend to make cheaper versions of the same models, or new models that are budget friendly from the start. Market conditions are managed rather than allowed to dictate.

I see it happening in my sector, the lower cost Dacias are an example from the automotive industry. Ford lost 5 billion on EVs last year, they must be making huge margins on ICE vehicles to support that. It may dump EVs and use the money to cut margins and preserve market share on ICE cars - bringing prices down overall, who knows what they will do next.

I am saying this to underline my belief that the European economy is not going to collapse overnight, it will most probably take a hit,but again it will be managed rather than allowed to wither totally on the vine. All those tax receipts are needed to keep the bureaucracies ticking over and that is where the present crop of lefty governments enjoy the greatest support.

He's a lot of things.
But not a madman.
Watch the dismantling of USAID and NED.
That money was initiating a lot of the chaos throughout the Ukraine and Middle East.
That is a premeditated decision.
Nothing mad about it except for the recipients and allocators of those budgets.

Maybe Greenland could turn out to be one of the issues that precipitates this split?

Apparently the Trump Administration has sent six questions to be answered in Laputa:

Reuters reports the US has sent the following questions for Europe to answer:

  1. What do you view as a Europe-backed security guarantee or assurance that would serve as a sufficient deterrent to Russia while also ensuring this conflict ends with an enduring peace settlement?
  2. Which European and/or third countries do you believe could or would participate in such an arrangement? Are there any countries you believe would be indispensable? Would your country be willing to deploy its troops to Ukraine as part of a peace settlement?
  3. If third country military forces were to be deployed to Ukraine as part of a peace arrangement, what would you consider to be the necessary size of such a European-led force? How and where would these forces be deployed and for how long?
  4. What actions do US allies and partners need to be prepared to take if Russia attacks these forces?
  5. What, if any, US support requirements would your government consider necessary for its participation in these security arrangements Specifically, which short-term and long-term resources do you think will be required from the US?
  6. What additional capabilities, equipment and maintenance sustainment options is your government prepared to provide to Ukraine to improve its negotiating hand and increase pressure on Russia? What more is your government prepared to do to increase its sanctions on Russia, including more strictly enforcing sanctions and better targeting third countries enabling Russia globally?

That which cannot continue, will not continue. Complacency has an expiry date. Reasonable questions only require reasonable answers when there are consequences.

So Trump is wanting America to back out of being the main defender of Europe after US governments spent the last 70 odd years insisting that it must be just that.

Perhaps Germany might, in return, ask that a formal peace treaty be drawn up and signed by both countries and so let them be free of US influence.

Bit rich just to want to wash their hands off Europe now, after brainwashing the peoples of Europe into mindless automatons for the last 80 years, this is evidenced by the German mainstream at its worst.
How about reparations for Nordstream and other sabotage.
How about their precious bases, drone war hub Ramstein springs to mind, unless they want to just drop everything and run a la Kabul?....
I'd be all for the yanks buggering off, but then serious thought must be given to rebuilding our respective national defence infrastructure and manpower.

Aa Vance observed.
Europe's worst enemies are from within.
Start there.

Just looked into this a little further and it seems that although no formal peace treaty was signed German regained its sovereignty by dribs and drabs although it was not fully returned until 1991, and there are some who question it still.

With the dissolution of the USSR and its Warsaw pact organisation. The US and UK should have packed up and left for home as well.
Nato wasn't dissolved.
Just repurposed.

Idiotic TD's are all about draping Ireland in military glory and by extension themselves. Utter fantasists the lot of them, and whoever is now pulling the strings at RTE.

How many have we spare anyway?

Sweet love of God.
These people are so incredibly stupidly unaware of what happens there.
And anyone sent there.
They really need to learn to stfu in these conversations.

why not? Ireland wants to play with the big boys, they should put their money where their mouths are.
There is no enforced conscription in Ireland. Those who serve the state in the Free State army do so of their own free will. They know the shower they have decided to serve. I've no interest in what happens them. If Russians take a crack at them so much the better as they have been no use to Ireland whatsoever. They have allowed the invasion of our country and are prepared to go to the Ukraine to protect against the invasion of their country? Good. Go. You wont be be missed.

A more interesting conversation was on LBC the other day in the aftermath of Sturmer's declaration that Brit troops would go to Ukraine. The commentators were discussing the need for a collective European approach to 'security' and wondering if the time had come to tell countries like Ireland and Switzerland that they must now give up neutrality and participate in collective EU security. Their was no voice saying that Ireland had long been a neutral state. Fair enough, a loud mouthed little country who have talked themselves into situations that are beyond them.

Did people really think that the EU was going to be a free ride for ever? The good times are over and the EU are calling in their debts. Whilst wrong fundamentally, a part of me welcomes any repercussion that befalls the Irish as a result. One thing is a people who have went along with the EU project but the Irish have been such vocal and insufferable supporters they should now share fully in the fallout.

At a population level the Irish lost the sovereignty of the state when the Nice Treaty was sent back for the 'correct' result. What we've seen in Romania with their Presidential election was the direction of travel as set out in Nice. That was the moment for the people to double down, but didn't.
