Disagree with this, and it's just neo-proselytizing. There are definitely aspects of my personality that I would define as culturally Christian despite being agnostic, and they have value and are valid regardless of nonasciption to Christianity. I respect sacrifice and virtue, for example, and think both of those things should be rewarded---I'll go even further and say that the defining feature of the dystopian societies in which we now live reward neither. We have built are world in which it is extremely difficult to be anything other than rampantly selfish and narcissistic.
I have recently become involved with a wildlife program which costs nothing, and is actually funded by the State. Australia is the 7th most Biodiverse region on Earth, but because 80% of all habitat is privately owned, unless landowners start planting out appropriately nothing has any future. So Big Brother will fund landowners to create habitat in spaces that are not being commercially used.
Anyway, I have been trying to get more locals on board and the response has not been encouraging. The worst have been wealthy lefties, so-called environmentalists. They want to be seen to be doing something without actually doing anything. The most inauthentic people I've ever met. Yet going by the stickers on their bumpers and their facebook profiles you'd think every one of them was an activist. That's the world we live in. It doesn't matter what you do. It matters what you pretend to be.
