I doubt that.

In a recent interview Prigozhin, head of Wagner said that to capture the Donbass Oblast would take another 6 months and to get to the Dneiper would take 3 years! So Russia would need to get their finger out if they are to take it all by the end of May. In reality Russia all along the front [Except in Bakmut} are going on to defense in anticipation of a Ukrianian Offensive.

Thoug some commentators are speculating that the main thrust of the Ukies will be into Bakmut.

Prigozhin doesn't underestimate NATO. He's dealt with them for years mainly in the ME and Africa. He knows what they are willing to throw at this both in troop numbers and artillery. Iranian drones are now making their way into Ukrainian hands, be it direct supply or via a third party. So not sure if they're playing both sides. This isn't over by a long shot.

I was watching a couple of Judge Napolitano's podcasts last night and two points emerged which are worth bearing in mind when considering America abroad.

The first is that American policies, whether at home or abroad, hinge on one basic question, and that is how will it affect Biden's chances of reelection. Yes, he will be running again and as an easily malleable puppet the deep state are desperate to keep him on the podium.

The second is that nations are once again talking unto nations and they do that all the better when the US is not involved. Saudi Arabia and Iran are now on speaking terms while the situation in the Yemen is easing due, in a large part, to Chinese diplomacy.

A third and related point is that the US is screwed militarily if it even thinks of taking on China in the South China Sea, it won't be carrier groups that will carry the day, but missiles fired from the Chinese mainland.

All in all we are seeing the accelerating decline of the US empire, but it won't go quietly, unfortunately.
