I think the Russians are genuinely alarmed each time the Neocons push them further. They realise they’re dealing with lunatics and so are being very careful not to do anything that could lead to all out conflict.

As JPC said, they’re the sane ones. The Neocons are losing everywhere and are thus extremely dangerous!
Lots of dual citizenship in the neocon clique.
With historical axes to grind.

I have to say I'm surprised that Putin has allowed part of Russia to be invaded by Ukraine.

I would say this is a big part of his plans and he is up to something, but the truth is I do now wonder if Russia is weaker than we all thought.

Putin has often said there are Red Lines to not cross, yet those lines are crossed all the time, now he has allowed Russia to be invaded under his watch. Surely he would have responded with something by now, yet nothing.

He only has nukes left and I doubt he is mad enough to use them, yet.
Yeah but now the Nato army has marched too far from home and will be caught short of food, supplies and replacements. Not a good time of year to get stuck deep in enemy territory.

I fully agree however what he didn't expect (Putin) was taking on the West.

We are at war with Russia, no doubt about it, Ukraine is their puppet and we are arming them to the teeth.

I have no idea what is going to happen, but what I didn't expect was to see Russia invaded and the response from Puting lackluster, to say the least.

I would have expected a shock and awe type of response and yet he seems to have no reply to losing part of his own country.

Either Putin is literally hanging on with a thread, Russia has exhausted far more than we thought, or he has a plan and is yet to put it into action. Sadly, because so many red lines of his have already been crossed I believe Russia may well be exhausted and close to collapse.
Any honest western retired military are comparing this to the USA withdrawal from afganstan except many times worse as the Russians are killing approx 2500 Ukrainians per day --i have no figures for the Russian losses .
zalenksy in a cocaine fueled fit he sent his forces into Russia and as they had no supply lines and no air force to drop them supplies each armored car had to fill to the gills with food and ammo and fuel as they have no supply lines at all--it is a suicide mission and the prize is one of the two power stations as bargaining chips -- they have got a drone to bomb one of them that's all .
they are in retreat and they are being shot like rats in the ditch and they have put civilians into the attic of any houses they now occupy to stop the drones from bombing them which is against the geneva convention .
they are using human shields to walk the minefields also .
Russia will destroy Ukraine after this in a planned way they can forget Odessa and the mines and the soil of Ukraine all which blackrock had purchased from the corrupt Ukrainians already .
Mediev the Russian pm has spoken and they are furious and some approaches were made prior to this for peace and the Russians were talking but now they see it was all lies and the people they were talking to knew about zalenksy all along so they are enraged and they say no more talking until the enemy is destroyed .
things have changed utterly .

Moscow and Beijing are on the right path in their fight against unfair competition by the US and its allies, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said during a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Li Qiang on Wednesday.
Li, who became the Chinese premier last year, is visiting Moscow at Mishustin’s invitation to meet senior Russian officials, including President Vladimir Putin, and sign a number of agreements. The two-day trip is part of annual engagements by leaders from the two countries.
In a speech greeting his guest, the Russian prime minister stated that both Moscow and Beijing were facing the same challenges as they grow in strength.
”Western nations impose illegitimate sanctions under various pretexts, which amounts to unfair competition. They are trying to preserve their global dominance, to contain the economic and technological potential of Russia and China,” he said.
“He who walks the path of justice has many helpers,” the prime minister added.
Biden calls Trump ‘the loser’ READ MORE: Biden calls Trump ‘the loser’
Russia and China describe their current relationship as a no-limit strategic partnership, and say it has achieved an unprecedented level of trust. Mishustin hailed growing economic and humanitarian Sino-Russian cooperation. Li agreed that Moscow and Beijing were improving their ties “in the face of a changing and difficult international situation and external challenges.”
Earlier this week, US President Joe Biden reiterated his belief that America was an indispensable nation that benefits everyone by being in charge.
”America is winning, and the world is better off for it,” he told the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Monday. “Who could lead the world other than the United States of America?”
Russia and China advocate for a more just multipolar system, in which no great power would be able to impose its will on the rest of the world. They say the West has failed to use unilateralism responsibly since the collapse of the USSR, and instead chose to exploit it for selfish goals.

Here’s why Putin’s latest trip is so important for the emerging world order

Azerbaijan, a new Russian ally, is in position to play a crucial role in an emergent Eurasia
By Farhad Ibragimov – expert, lecturer at the Faculty of Economics of RUDN University, visiting lecturer at the Institute of Social Sciences of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.
Here’s why Putin’s latest trip is so important for the emerging world order

President Vladimir Putin’s state visit to Azerbaijan can rightfully be described as historic. This marks the first time a Russian president has made an official state visit to this South Caucasian republic. The high status of this visit is a clear reflection of the current state of Russian-Azerbaijani relations, which are at an all-time high. Despite Azerbaijan not being a member of organizations such as the CSTO and EAEU, its relationship with Moscow remains robust.
A significant milestone in relations was the signing of the Declaration on Allied Interaction (the Moscow Declaration) on February 22, 2022, by the leaders of both countries, which, as Putin noted during his visit, is being successfully implemented. Azerbaijan is transitioning from being a strategic partner to becoming a strategic ally of Russia. This shift can be attributed in part to both countries’ shared commitment to establishing a new multipolar world, resulting in aligned positions on many issues within the current international agenda.
While Azerbaijan maintains a stance of strict neutrality in certain areas, it is also unafraid to express its views openly. Baku recognizes that the formation of a new world order is not mere fiction but a reality unfolding before our eyes. Trusting relationships between the leadership of both nations play a significant role in this development. Notably, during the meeting between Putin and Ilham Aliyev, the prospects of Azerbaijan joining BRICS and the SCO were discussed, signaling Baku’s readiness to define its foreign policy priorities.
This does not mean Azerbaijan is ready to sever ties with the West; however, European capitals – particularly Paris, Brussels, and London – have made it clear through their provocative behavior toward Azerbaijan that they do not intend to treat it as an equal partner, thus leaving Baku with little option. Azerbaijan has crafted its foreign policy to safeguard its interests without yielding to Western demands. In simple terms, Baku will not sacrifice its national interests merely to appease the Collective West.

Decoding the Modi-Putin summit: What message did India and Russia just send to the world?

Recently, neighboring Georgia has adopted a similar perspective. For decades, it constrained itself by commitments to the West, hoping to become an ally at the expense of its relationship with Russia. Now, Georgia is openly pushing back against the West, recognizing that its own interests take precedence over illusory European promises, which have yielded nothing but a deterioration of ties with Moscow.
Increasingly, voices in Georgia are calling for the normalization of relations with Russia, looking to Azerbaijan’s experience under Aliyev’s leadership, which has embraced pragmatism in its dealings with neighbors such as Russia, Iran, and Turkey – thus establishing them as close partners. In essence, Baku’s approach has influenced Tbilisi, which in recent years has opted for a more consistent strategy rather than indulging in hysteria and Russophobia – tendencies that some post-Soviet republics have exploited.
This sets the stage for a compelling geopolitical landscape in the strategically significant South Caucasus region, which holds particular interest for Russia due to its historical and national dimensions.
The discussions between the presidents covered a wide range of international and regional issues – from education and the status of the Russian language, which Baku holds in high regard, to economic matters and relations with third countries, as well as regional security.
Additionally, Putin and Aliyev agreed to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (World War II). The date May 9, 1945 remains a cornerstone connecting Russia and Azerbaijan, and its mention in the leaders’ statements is telling.
Azerbaijan’s strong ties with Russia, regarded in Baku as one of the world’s leading powers, are significant for this South Caucasian nation. Today, Azerbaijan can rightfully claim to be a key player in the region. This status has been bolstered not only by its growing geopolitical influence, but also by its economic advancements over the past two decades. Azerbaijan is now looking to elevate its role on the international stage, aiming to shape and contribute to global agendas.

It’s no coincidence that Azerbaijan is actively participating in the Non-Aligned Movement summit, hosting major global events (such as COP29, the UN Climate Change Conference in November, which is expected to draw around 80,000 attendees), and promoting initiatives linked to organizations such as the SCO and BRICS. In July 2023, the Azerbaijani president met with Chinese President Xi Jinping to discuss enhancing Azerbaijan’s status within the SCO (currently, Azerbaijan is a dialogue partner), with Beijing reportedly supporting Baku’s aspirations.
Regarding BRICS, Azerbaijan has closely observed the organization’s rapid growth, particularly in the last two years. The Global South is openly challenging Western dominance, asserting its voice – a reality that Europe and the US must now contend with, something that would have seemed unimaginable a decade or so ago.
Azerbaijan appreciates the increasing influence of the Global South, particularly with regard to new geopolitical projects such as BRICS, noting that not everyone gets invited into this club. For instance, Turkey expressed a desire to join BRICS in June; however, Moscow and Beijing deemed these ambitions premature, especially given Turkey’s membership in NATO, which is often at odds with Russia and China.
Despite Turkey’s attempts to balance its position between the West and East, similar to other NATO members such as Hungary and Slovakia, it has not yet achieved this goal.
In contrast, Azerbaijan navigates its partnerships more freely, having avoided military alliances, which allows for greater flexibility in choosing allies. Azerbaijan feels more secure and comfortable in its Eastern relationships, as reflected in its current foreign policy approach. Putin even extended an invitation to his Azerbaijani counterpart to attend the upcoming BRICS summit in Kazan, signaling Russia’s willingness to support Azerbaijan’s entry into BRICS. This development contributes to a shifting geopolitical landscape, not only in the South Caucasus but throughout the broader Eurasian region.

But not as bad as it's going to be for decent Ukrainians. (y)
That's a given.
This conflict and the escalation has nothing to do with them.
The major reasons why that's so.
A visceral hatred of a prosperous stable Russia by the neocons.
And their perverted historical luggage.
To rub Russias nose in the shit by having Nato within minutes strike distance of western Russia.
Resources!
Ukrainians are just there to be used.
Sickening reality.

Zitler is point blank refusing to hold elections and allow the people pass judgement on his abject failure to protect Ukrainians and their interests.
That says it all.

Germans lying about Nord Stream exchange – Moscow

Berlin has not shared information about the pipeline probe, the Russian Foreign Ministry has said
Germans lying about Nord Stream exchange – Moscow

Berlin has not provided Moscow with any actual information about the attacks on the Nord Stream gas pipelines in 2022, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said
The pipelines which ran under the Baltic Sea were used to transport Russian natural gas to Germany and other parts of Western Europe. They were damaged in September 2022 by a series of explosions near the Danish island of Bornholm.
Russia has accused the US of orchestrating the attack, while some media in the West have blamed a “pro-Ukrainian group.”
Earlier this week, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused Germany of refusing to officially share information about the investigation, suggesting that leaking it to the media instead raises “suspicions that all of this is staged” to deflect blame from the actual culprits.
German Foreign Ministry spokesman Sebastian Fischer responded on Monday that Berlin has engaged “in information exchange” with Moscow. Speaking on Wednesday, Zakharova accused him of lying.
“What Mr. Fischer said does not correspond to reality at all,” Zakharova told reporters. “Simply put, it is a lie. For almost two years, the German side has responded to all inquiries from Russian authorities regarding the destruction of the Nord Streams with only empty formalities that contained no factual information.”

Germany must provide full disclosure over Nord Stream bombings – Lavrov

Fischer’s statement “only strengthens our suspicions of Berlin’s intention to ‘blow up’ the investigation, which is being conducted in total secrecy, by not allowing it to identify the true instigators of the attack on the largest trans-European energy infrastructure facility,” Zakharova added.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Germany is also persecuting media outlets that are actually trying to discover what happened, which “shows that Berlin has something to hide and is extremely uninterested in conducting a real investigation and having the truth made public.”
The original Nord Stream was built after the 2009 gas transit dispute between Kiev and Moscow, enabling Gazprom to supply Western Europe without depending on Ukraine and Poland. The second pipeline was finished in late 2021, despite delays due to US sanctions.
Western media narratives about “Ukrainian saboteurs” being behind the blast, whether acting on orders from Kiev or alone, began appearing only after US investigative journalist Seymour Hersh blamed Washington. Citing sources within the intelligence community, Hersh argued that CIA divers working with the Norwegian Navy planted remotely-triggered bombs on both pipelines, using a NATO exercise in the region as cover.
Meanwhile, Ukraine has maintained that Russia blew up its own pipelines, which Moscow has dismissed as ridiculous.

The country, population, builders, armies & owners need endless loans and funding, constantly, now and way into the future.
It'll take years of stability & peace before they'll be able to start earning for the rebuild.
Meanwhile all EU countries must cut into their own social programs and divert resources to accommodate and pay for the damage and destruction that never ends but gets steadily worse with greater costs, it's absolutely ridiculous.

Ukraine is a giant scab on the planet.
That's before we get into the corruption, the child sex trafficking and abuse, the obvious lack of democratic process, the fact that it's under the full control of terrorist Washington in a proxy war that could lead to a full worldwide nuclear conflict etc.

Anyone cheerleading for Ukraine is at best a total idiot or worse than that a sick pervert with an incredibly warped and twisted mind.

The yank instigated and led war isn't about Ukraine, it's about a failing American kip trying to keep its place in a changing world where their relevance is becoming less and less by the decade.

Apart from start wars, what exactly has America done for the rest of the world since the end of WW2?

Nord Stream was ‘legitimate target’ for Ukraine – EU country’s president

The Nord Stream pipelines were a “legitimate target” for Ukraine during its conflict with Russia, Czech President Petr Pavel has said. However, he stressed that he does not have any data proving that Kiev really was behind the attack on the energy infrastructure.
During his interview with the outlet Novinky.cz on Wednesday, Pavel was asked to comment on an article published in last week’s Wall Stall Journal, which claimed that the September 2022 explosions which ruptured the pipelines built to deliver Russian gas to Germany and the rest of Western Europe had been carried out by Kiev.

According to the US paper’s sources, Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, who had initially approved the attack, later tried calling it off under pressure from the CIA, but the then-commander-in-chief of the country’s military Valery Zaluzhny nonetheless went ahead with the operation.
The Czech president started by stressing that he does not have any “clear incriminating” information that would link Kiev to the attack on Nord Stream.

However, he pointed out that “when an armed conflict is waged, it is waged not only against military targets, but also against strategic targets. And pipelines are a strategic target.”

If the Nord Stream sabotage “was aimed at cutting off gas and oil supplies to Europe and [the flow of] money back to Russia, then... it would be a legitimate target,” Pavel, who is himself a former NATO general, said.
"Pipelines have always been and will always be targets because they have the potential to influence the conflict in one direction or the other,” he added.
The Czech president acknowledged that if Ukraine’s role in the destruction of Nord Stream 1 and 2 is proven, it may “affect the willingness of countries [in the EU] to provide assistance to Ukraine” in its fight with Russia.
"On the other hand, we have no other option but to support Ukraine at this time. It is not about whether we like Ukraine or not, but about whether we want to live in a world where one country can invade another just because it is bigger and stronger,” he claimed.
Top officials in Moscow, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, have previously pointed the finger at the US as the possible culprit behind the Nord Stream sabotage. They argued that Washington has the technical means to carry out such an operation and also stood to gain the most from the attack that disrupted Russian energy supplies to the EU, forcing the switch to more expensive US-supplied liquefied natural gas.

In early 2023, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh reported that explosives had been planted on the Nord Stream pipelines by US Navy divers under the cover of a NATO exercise, and were later detonated later on orders from US President Joe Biden. The White House responded by rejecting these findings as “utterly false and complete fiction.”

If the above are the accepted rules and targets then Russia will be perfectly within it's rights to rip up every transatlantic cable in international waters off the west coast of Ireland.
Imagine the carnage, but I doubt Russia would stoop so low, yank terrorists on the other hand.......

Those aren't the freeloaders.
These people have had their families and lives destroyed by their own leaders.
Those freeloaders are in Kiev or warmer climates in Europe and elsewhere.

Fair observation in the main.
Thing is a lot of the displaced population are from Eastern Russia leaning parts.
Western Ukraine might be a welcome place.
I wonder is that part of the reason to leave the Ukraine?

Ukrainian commanders blame unmotivated conscripts for lost ground – AP

Ukrainian commanders blame unmotivated conscripts for lost ground – AP

Newly conscripted Ukrainian reinforcement soldiers often lack training and the will to fight Russia, the Associated Press reported on Thursday, citing complaints from commanders on the ground.

Earlier this month, Kiev sent some of its best-equipped and experienced soldiers to seize Russian territory in Kursk Region, claiming that the maneuver would alleviate pressure elsewhere on the front line and strengthen Ukraine’s position during eventual peace talks with Moscow. Despite this, the progress of Russian forces on other areas of the frontline has continued.

The Ukrainians have continued to lose ground partially because of the low quality of troops that Kiev is conscripting under its new military mobilization system introduced this year, the news agency suggested.

”Some people don’t want to shoot. They see the enemy in the firing position in trenches but don’t open fire,” said a frustrated battalion commander. “That is why our men are dying.”

Some new troops don’t know how to assemble their rifles nor understand the basic tactics of even a small unit, the officer said. A leader cannot be sure if such people are capable of executing orders, he added.
Commanders and soldiers described recruits who are “unable to shoot targets and uninformed about basic topography,” AP said. Some had no faith in their commanders’ orders, and simply fled.
”The main problem is the survival instinct of newcomers,” a veteran soldier told the news outlet. “Before, people could stand until the last moment to hold the position. Now, even when there is light shelling of firing positions, they are retreating.” There are some motivated people among the new recruits, but “just very, very few,” he added.

Kiev is trying to boost its recruitment drive by threatening heavy punishment for those who avoid the draft. It has also asked Western nations to lean on refugees residing in their countries to pressure them into returning home and reporting for duty.
Multiple videos circulating online suggest that Ukrainian draft officers are routinely resorting to force to snatch unwilling men from the streets and deliver them to conscription centers for processing.
Before the Kursk incursion, Moscow offered Kiev a ceasefire in exchange for renouncing its NATO membership bid and withdrawing its troops from territories claimed by Russia. Now the deal is off the table for the foreseeable future, according to Russian officials.

Ukrainian forces have attempted to strike Russia’s Kursk Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), President Vladimir Putin has said during a cabinet meeting.

Kiev sent thousands of troops into Russia’s Kursk Region earlier this month, attempting to reach the town of Kurchatov, where the nuclear facility is located. Moscow has declared the incursion an act of terrorism and has deployed additional troops to repel the invaders.
“Last night, the enemy attempted to strike the atomic power plant,”Putin said at a cabinet meeting on Thursday afternoon. “The International Atomic Energy Agency [IAEA] has been informed. They promised to come themselves and send specialists to assess the situation. I hope they actually do so.”
The IAEA already has observers working at the Zaporozhye NPP, Europe’s largest such facility. The mission was deployed in the summer of 2023, as Ukrainian troops attempted to seize the plant. Earlier this month, a Ukrainian drone attack set one of the cooling towers at the plant on fire.

Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev has discussed the situation at both power plants with IAEA director Rafael Grossi, and invited him to visit Kursk to personally assess the situation, according to the Russian media.
Grossi has accepted the invitation and is planning to visit Kursk next week, an IAEA spokesman told AFP. Afterwards, he will visit Kiev and speak with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky.
According to Grossi, the IAEA is very concerned about any combat operations near the Kursk NPP, since it operates the same kind of reactors as the infamous Chernobyl NPP.
“They don’t have a protective dome around them, just the normal roof, which means that the reactor’s core is pretty exposed,”Grossi said. The presence of troops within artillery range “is a source of enormous concern to me and the agency,” he added, without specifying which forces he meant.
Moscow has repeatedly criticized the international agency for never identifying the perpetrator of the attacks on nuclear facilities, even though the IAEA staff has known perfectly well that Kiev is to blame.

Last week, Russian military journalist Marat Khairullin reported that Ukraine was preparing a “dirty bomb” for a false flag attack on either the Kursk or Zaporozhye NPP. Moscow said it was taking the report seriously and warned that any such attack would be met immediately with “tough military and military-technical countermeasures.”

Finland has ramped up production of ammunition fivefold to help Ukraine fight Russia, Prime Minister Petteri Orpo has reported.
Speaking at a joint press conference with the new Estonian prime minister, Kristen Michal, in Helsinki on Wednesday, Orpo said both nations “agree that Russia cannot win its war” and have to support Kiev.
“Finland has increased its ammunition production [by] five times. It needs to happen in the whole EU as well,” he claimed, calling the boost of arms manufacturing a shared business opportunity, but also shared security landscape” for the political bloc.
In February, Finnish officials set the fivefold increase as the target for production at the Nammo Lapua artillery munitions plant, which the Nordic nation co-owns with Norway.

Helsinki has longer-term plans to expand its weapons industry and double its ammo manufacturing capacity by 2027, according to the Defense Ministry. The expected investment was announced last December and estimated at €120 million ($132 million), of which the Finnish government would provide around €24 million.
Some of the funding comes from the EU via the ASAP (Act in Support of Ammunition Production) fund. The Nammo Lapua plant was granted €22.5 million by the EU to ramp up the manufacture of 155mm shells, while another €10 million will be invested in the Nammo Vihtavuori gunpowder plant, the ministry announced in March.
The Finnish government is also considering building a new factory to produce military-grade high explosives.
During the press conference, the two prime ministers endorsed Kiev’s ongoing incursion into Russia’s Kursk Region, claiming that it was justified by Ukraine’s right to defend itself.

Moscow has described the ongoing Ukraine conflict as a US-led proxy war on Russia waged by NATO nations. Finland joined the military bloc last year, breaking a tradition of defense neutrality which it had maintained since the end of World War II.
