German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has evaded Vladimir Zelensky’s questions on whether Kiev will be accepted into NATO, or receive long-range missiles from Berlin, Bild reported on Saturday, describing the Ukrainian leader’s trip across Europe to secure military support as a fiasco.
According to the German tabloid, Zelensky had two main goals in mind when he embarked on a whirlwind tour of meetings with Western leaders: obtaining permission to use foreign-made weapons – including still-undelivered German Taurus missiles to strike strategic targets deep in Russia – and the promise of a speedy NATO accession process.
However, Bild described the results as “pretty poor,” saying that the two Ukrainian demands “fell on deaf ears in Berlin.” While the chancellor “did not definitely say ‘no’, there was no positive response” from him either, the article said.

In another setback for Zelensky, he was unable to meet with US President Joe Biden, who remained stateside to monitor Category 5 Hurricane Milton as it ravaged Florida. However, an unnamed Ukrainian insider quoted by Bild dismissed that as an “excuse,” claiming Biden did not want to raise the topic of the conflict at the peak of the US election cycle.
Ukrainian officials have repeatedly asked Germany to provide long-range Taurus missiles, which can hit targets as far as 500km away. Despite heated debate and back-and-forth in Berlin on the issue, Scholz has so far refused to oblige, citing escalation concerns and arguing that the deliveries would only be “tenable” if Berlin could determine the targets itself, which would make it a direct participant in the hostilities.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that if the West decides to allow Ukraine to use foreign-made long-range weapons to strike deep into Russia, it will mean that NATO is “waging war” against Moscow. He has also ordered an update of the national nuclear strategy to say that “aggression against Russia by any non-nuclear state, but with the participation or support of a nuclear state” shall be regarded as a “joint attack” and an action crossing the threshold for employing nuclear weapons.

Slovak MEP Lubos Blaha visited Moscow over the weekend to thank Russia for liberating his country from fascism in World War II and to apologize for the “growing Russophobia” in the EU and the US.
Blaha, a member of Prime Minister Robert Fico’s Social Democratic SMER-SD party, published a video of himself visiting Red Square and laying flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier near the Kremlin wall and at the monument to Soviet Marshal Georgy Zhukov.
“I came… as a friend of Russia because I can no longer look at the growing Russophobia in the West,” Blaha said in a video published on Telegram. The Russian people have made “incredible sacrifices” to liberate Slovakia, he added.
Blaha said he wanted to apologize for the “belligerent, hateful, and virtually fascist resolutions adopted by the EU Parliament against Russia.” He insisted that Slovaks will “never be forced to hate the Russian people,” and that he rejects the Western weapons deliveries to Kiev, the sanctions on Moscow, and further escalations of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

“We do not want our children to die in a nuclear war. Slovaks want peace!” Blaha said, adding that Russians are seen as “friendly people” in Slovakia and it “will never be otherwise.” The MEP also called for dialogue with Moscow and an end to the “hatred of Russia.”

The MEP was also scheduled to deliver a lecture at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) attended by Slovak students.
Blaha was elected to the EU Parliament this summer. According to the Slovak Standard news outlet, he was the second most popular MEP candidate in the country. Before joining the EU Parliament, he was a member of the national parliament from 2012 and was vice chairman from 2023.
He is known for his sympathy toward Russia and criticism of the EU and US. The Standard describes him as the “most pro-Russian politician in Slovakia.” Blaha has attracted controversy online over his outspoken rhetoric on social media.
Earlier, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico announced plans to visit Moscow to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II. Fico said he would not let anyone forget that “freedom came from the East,” referring to the liberation of Slovakia from Nazi occupation by the Soviet Army in 1945. He also criticized the West for turning a blind eye to Ukrainian troops using Nazi symbols.

Great plan if true.(y)

"Moscow's ultimate goals are to "push the U.S. out of Europe," roll back NATO boundaries to the 1990s, and create a "Russian sphere of influence" with the aim of cementing a "new world order."

Seems there are actually some people with functioning brains around the world after all.

Ukraine’s accession into NATO would be ‘suicide’ – EU lawmaker

Ukrainian accession to NATO could result in nuclear war, Slovak MEP Lubos Blaha told RT on Monday during a visit to Moscow. Slovakia, a member of the US-led military bloc, previously vowed to stonewall Kiev’s candidacy over fears of a conflict with Russia.
Blaha, a member of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico’s Social Democratic SMER-SD party, visited Moscow over the weekend to thank Russia for liberating his country from fascism in World War II and to apologize for the “growing Russophobia” in the EU and the US.
Speaking with RT, Blaha said he believes that the escalation of the Ukraine conflict and the West’s proxy war against Russia could turn into a nuclear war, stressing “we need to do everything to avoid this.”
He cited Fico’s recent comments that Slovakia plans to veto Ukraine’s potential accession to NATO due to the threat of a world war posed by such a move.
“It would be a suicide if we take Ukraine to NATO… if we want to have a nuclear war… then let’s do it,” Blaha said, adding “We will never allow the accession of Ukraine into NATO.”
The Slovak MEP went on to say that he believes “one of the causes of the Ukraine conflict was that NATO expanded to the borders of Russia.”
This is “just an empirical fact,” he said. “It was not the Russian Federation on the borders of the United States… It was NATO and the collective West spreading their influence and their military equipment towards the borders of Russia.”

He also accused the EU of hypocrisy and double standards, noting that when it talks about Israel’s right to defend itself in the war in Gaza, “doesn’t then Russia have the right to defend itself?”
Asked about Western sanctions, Blaha said that Russia is a modern technologically-developed country. Sanctions are not working despite Western efforts, he said, explaining that on the contrary, they are hurting the EU’s own economy.
“I think the sanctions are nonsense, and we just need to stop this as soon as possible.” By adopting “militarist, Russophobic, and radical” resolutions against Russia, the EU is supporting the war, he said.
Asked about his visit to Moscow, Blaha said he wanted to apologize “for all this militarism and Russophobia in the West.”
“I’m really fed up as an MEP and as a Slovak politician to hear all this hatred against Russia,”
he said, comparing it to the “atmosphere of hatred” during the 1930s and 1940s in Nazi Germany.
“This is very dangerous and terrible, and I will do everything for a dialogue with Russians and for the open-mindedness of Western politicians,” Blaha said.

Will these goons ever learn?
Sanctions my arse.

Do you remember many moons ago Tankman telling us all that sanctions against Russian energy would only make Germany industry stronger as it weened itself off cheap gas?

Why then, is it believed sanctions will weaken Iran?

Everyone can see what the sanctions have done to the German economy.😎

That article hasn't aged well!

Commanders at all levels understand the top-level end state, and are given the flexibility to conduct the battle as they see fit to achieve victory. The Ukrainians are well-versed in this style of warfare, which allows them to be agile and adapt their plan to the situation on the battlefield as it unfolds and changes.
The Russians do not follow this doctrine.

I don't know much about the tactics and methodology of modern warfare.
Neither does the guy who wrote the article.
A professional tank commander it seems.

Moscow responds to Zelensky’s ‘victory plan’

The Ukrainian leader’s proposal is a set of “incoherent slogans,” according to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova

Moscow has dismissed Vladimir Zelensky’s much-touted eight-point ‘victory plan’ as nothing but a “plan for the misfortune of Ukraine,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said in a statement.
On Wednesday, the Ukrainian leader unveiled his long-promised proposal to Western supporters during an extraordinary parliamentary session. Zelensky laid out five points, including an immediate invitation to join NATO, permission to use Western long-range weapons to strike targets deep in Russia, and continued incursions into the neighboring country’s territory. A further three points remain classified but have supposedly been shared with Kiev’s backers.
Spokeswoman Zakharova responded to the five points of Zelensky’s plan at a press conference, calling them nothing more than a “set of incoherent slogans” and “bloody foam on the lips of a neo-Nazi killer.”
Commenting on Kiev’s “hysteria” about being invited into NATO, the she alleged that the only place the West sees for Ukraine in its “security architecture” is “in a coffin and Ukrainian citizens in graves.”
“That is why they brought this clown to power, who was supposed to finish off Ukraine as a state and kill as many Ukrainians as possible,”
Zakharova said.

She also questioned Zelensky’s intent to strengthen Ukrainian defenses by “targeted operations in specific places.” The spokeswoman asked why the Ukrainian leader shied away from naming the places and said that Kiev has been “pushing NATO members towards a direct conflict” with Russia by insisting on obtaining permission to use long-range weapons on Russian territory.
“Taken together, all of those points and secret sub-points are not a ‘plan’ for Zelensky’s victory. This is a plan for the misfortune of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people,” Zakharova surmised, adding that it is aimed at “yet another extortion of money and a presentation of [Kiev’s] terrorist capabilities.”
“Today, Zelensky has finally proven to everyone that he hates Ukrainians to such an extent that can be described as Ukrainophobia,”
Zakharova concluded.
Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has responded to Zelensky’s plan by calling it nothing more than a roadmap for the continuation of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. He insisted that the only way to achieve peace was for the Ukrainian leader to “sober up” and “reflect on the causes which have led to the Ukraine conflict.”

It's beginning to dawn on the EU goons that they'll NEVER defeat Russia.
What a fucking waste of lives being the proxy of terrorist america has been.

‘High probability’ of Ukraine conflict ending soon – EU state’s PM

The issue is expected to be discussed at the European Council meeting this week, according to Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said on Wednesday that he believes there is a high possibility the Ukraine conflict could end soon, news agency TASR has reported.
Fico made the remarks at a session of the parliamentary European affairs committee before leaving for Brussels for a European Council meeting where Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky has been invited to present his so-called victory plan.
“The probability of ending the war in Ukraine in a short time is very high,” the Slovak leader was quoted as saying, adding that he expects the European Council meeting to indicate when that could be the case.
He highlighted that “the issue of inviting Ukraine to NATO is suddenly being brought up,” and said that such an invitation would not be “free of charge.”
Fico reiterated that Slovakia opposes Ukraine’s invitation to NATO because he believes it would result in World War III.
The Slovak prime minister already said earlier this month that Bratislava would veto Ukraine’s potential accession to the US-led bloc and will “never agree” to it due to the threat of a world war posed by such a move.
NATO pledged to bring Ukraine into the fold in 2008, ignoring Russia’s warnings that it would view that as a major threat to its national security. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that one of the main reasons for the conflict, which began in February 2022, was Ukraine’s desire to join NATO and its “genocide” of the people in Donbass, which is now part of Russia.
Russia has never ruled out talks on Ukraine, and Putin said in June that Moscow would immediately agree to a ceasefire and start negotiations if Kiev were to withdraw troops from the Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson, and Zaporozhye Regions and commit to neutrality. But in August, he said that any discussion was out of the question as long as Ukrainian troops continue to occupy part of Russia’s Kursk Region.

Ukraine has repeatedly rejected anything short of returning to its 1991 borders, which Russia considers delusional.
On Wednesday, Zelensky presented his ‘victory plan’ to the Ukrainian parliament, suggesting it could help bring the conflict with Russia to a close as early as next year. The plan, among other things, includes a demand that Kiev receive an invitation to immediately join NATO. Zelensky also called for strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities, including by lifting Western restrictions on the use of foreign-made long-range weapons for strikes against Russia, and urged continued incursions into the neighboring country’s territory.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has advised Kiev to “sober up” and acknowledge the roots of the conflict, saying that “most likely, it’s the same American plan to keep fighting a war with us to the last Ukrainian, which Zelensky has camouflaged and now calls a peace plan.”

And they sunk the Titanic!

Ulster Prods used to be extremely given to conspiracy theories about the Titanic usually involving the claim that Father Francis Browne the famous Jesuit photographer was responsible for it sinking through having carried some or other act or acts of sabotage.

Also one of the mods over on P.ie actually did blame the Russians not for 9/11 but for the Resistance attacks last October on the Zionist entity so they might well get there.
